That is what is called iron fallout or industrial fallout every vehicle has or will get it. even if you have a quality wax or ceramic coating or some sort of paint protectant you will get this issue you cant see it as well on darker vehicles. btw my antimater blue with ceramic coating has some spots and will be removed in the springtime when the weather isnt so cruddy. your rust spots are most likely from brake dust that has attached to the clear coat. its not a warranty claim or ford problem. It is fairly simple to remove but can be tedious. one way is to clay bar the entire vehicle and apply a new layer of wax or protectant. another removal process is to use a iron fallout remover when you hand wash your vehicle. The easiest way to remove them is to take it to a proffessional detailer or paint correction place and have them do it but that is going to be a little more expencive.

if you want to diy then look up some youtube videos on iron fallout removal or claying your vehicle.

btw the body pannels on the f150s are aluminum they dont rust to a orange rust color they turn to a chalky white dust.
Should iron fall out be happening on aluminum F150 body’s? I thought they weren’t suppose to have rust or rust.

Hey yeah I ended up paying a shop to clay bar and I believe iron wash. Helped alot, 90% removed. But they would come back over time I'm sure. No permanent solution other than a ceramic coating probably. For 100$ every few years Ill stick to what's worked.
Thank you. What year is your F150 and the iron wash doesn’t hurt the clear coat?

It's a 21 with only 27000kms.

No, no issues with clear coat.

Now the rear axle pumpkin rust, that's another story....

yes it's not the body rusting its the brake dust or rail dust the sticks to the clear coat that is rusting. The iron remover can hurt the paint if it is left to dry on the paint. the best way to prevent the little spots is to wax your vehicle regularly or get itbceramic coated. you will still get spots with both options but they are easier to remove. with ceramic coating the spots will basicly come right off when you wash the vehicle.

Just an fyi aluminum does "rust" but its called corrosion. this is because rust is a term for oxidation of steel. over time your aluminum f150 will start to corrode but its not the same as steel where once you see rust in steel it just spreads like none other. aluminum corosion you just get a bubble and it very slowely grows and its pretty easy to stop it. For example my 2010 explorer (ford has been using aluminum body parts for longer than you think) has an aluminum hood and is has one spot of corosion that started 4 years ago and is smaller than a dime. Now the rust on the rocker panel that i noticed around the same time well lets just say the is gone now.

This is most likely rail dust contamination caused by hot brake embers on the train burning thru the clearcoat during transport. If you maintain the appearance like you seem to have, it can take awhile for it to appear.
I’ve got this on my 22 Oxford White, but I’m quite certain mine isn’t rail dust, built in Dearborn, delivery less than 20 from place of birth, Farmington Hills.

I used Adam’s Iron Remover on my wife’s white Pilot and it worked really well. You will know it’s working when you see the purple streaks show up after spraying it on which is pretty cool.
