Update: I got the email this morning stating the truck has been built and is now being shipped.

I don't know what's going on with my truck. Ford's tracker says it was shipped 5/22 - a month ago. The original ETA window ended 6/13, but it's been getting pushed out every few days and now extends to 6/30. (I'm pretty sure this is an automated process with no input from reality.)

I called Ford last week and they indicated a narrower window ending on 6/19. That came and went with no further updates. Still holding out hope it's actually on its way and hasn't been lost somewhere.

How was it delivered, by rail or convoy?

Convoy. But it finally arrived! Just picked it up from Chapman in NJ yesterday and drove it home to NC today. Loving the truck!

My truck was built at Kansas City.

Consequently, my father ordered a truck from the same dealer same day I did. My truck was built 2 days earlier than his, and shipped 2 days earlier than his, but his truck got the dealership 3 days before mine. No idea how that happened. Not that big of a deal.

I just placed an order with Granger for a Scab, 6.5’bed, XLT high, 4x4 (7/7/23)

I wonder if I’ll get a 23 or be pushed to a 2024. My guess is that If I get a 23 it will be relatively quick, a 24 will probably take three forevers.

This will Be:

My first new Ford and the first time I will have a Ford as a daily driver.
My first short bed ½ ton in almost 30 years and my first extended cab in 20.

I’m excited to have a daily driver that doesn’t take 40 acres to turn around.



While I wait, I’ll continue pouring through this site and planning my build.

I believe had you added the 360 cams, you could have turned it into an assist 2.0 w/ lane centering for the price of the cruise radar which is ~$200. The 360 cam is an easy option made even better by the easy assist 2.0 conversion. No telling what's occurring with the 24' harness simplification. They started to make the mach-e come with all of the tech features included with a subscription model to use them. I expect to see a whole lot more of that from ford just as the rest of the industry has done.

Update: ended up buying local. Local dealer posted the same color + bap package plat with a powerboost, 7.5kw, and sunroof to boot for cheaper than my granger price. Ended up also getting the CHMSL camera rather than deleted. 81k msrp bought for 66.3k, couldn't turn it down.

I assumed the initial Wilmington Delaware stop was the final stop but seems this train is taking a tour of Delaware rail yards.

Avalance Grey isn't on the order form so I selected Carbonized on my form. Also, has anyone done an average of days delivered? Trying to coordinate sale of my current truck with delivery date. Appreciate any insight.

Also, has anyone noticed a correlation between time of build and how unique or complicated the build was? Are more mainstream trucks getting done faster? Thanks y'all, have a lot of things to coordinate for when this truck arrives.
