Finally got my truck from the dealership yesterday afternoon. Other than the details mentioned below, the truck is truly a beauty, and worth the wait. I'm sorry for those still waiting while this whole mess clears up which I hope happens sooner than later. :(

When I originally placed my retail order back on 01/22, I was told the wait would be approx 4-6 months. I was shocked to see thing right before four month's time even with the week Ford pushed my production out. We still have another Platinum on order with another dealership, and this second one is taking much longer.

Regarding the Plat received......

2022 F-150 Platinum 4x4, 701A Group, Agate Black, Black Interior, 3.5L Powerboost Hybrid, 7.2kw Power OnBoard, Max Recline, Bluecruise, Twin Panel Moonroof, Onboard Scales, CCD, Telescopic Mirrors, etc.

I did not order Adaptive Steering on this truck, but the dealership had me sign an acknowledgement on the AS removal anyhow. I thought only 2021 model orders would sign this form as the feature was standard on early 2021 Platinum models, but was included as a separate add-on for 2022.

Active Park Assist 2.0 Removal was indicated on the Windows Sticker, and was indeed removed. (This is the only feature that was part of my order, and was stripped.) The actual APA button is still on the truck though, but function-wise points to the rear parking sensor configuration (Enable/Disable.)

Ambient Lighting is available at the foot-wells, all four doors, and rear console, but is excluded on media bin, and cup holder. I purchased the cup holder part from Ford earlier with the rings, and accessories to complete the lighting locations. (Working on getting the harness this week.)

The license tag lights are in fact standard 2700k, so those will be swapped to LED. No light in glove compartment, and no digital reading on temp control knobs. Will be connecting harness and lights to GC, and will maybe look into swapping the temp control portion.

Things to add in the next week or so:

Line-X Bed Liner, Husky X-act Contour Series Front & Rear Liners, Stubby Antenna, 2-inch Leveling Kit, Bushwacker Pocket Style Fender Flares, Tinted Windows. (Still need to decide on rims and tires.)

------------------------------------------------
Schedule:

01/24 - Order confirmed.
04/04 - Original Production Scheduled date. (Delayed to 4/11.)
04/11 - Scheduled for Production
04/14 - Blend Date
04/20 - Build Date
04/22 - Shipped
05/08 - 05/14 - Scheduled Arrival at Dealership
05/10 - Arrived at Dealership
05/13 - Picked up truck

Just filled out tracking form. New to forum. Ordered Lariat SC 5.0 Sport 1/29/22. Still no VIN. Getting frustrated.

I ordered mine Nov. 27/21 and I still don't have mine. Its a long and frustrating process for sure.

Ordered mine Aug 21. Converted to a 22 in Oct. Went to priority 1 in December. No vin , no other updates other than my dealer saying that they do not believe ford will ever build my truck in its current configuration. So they order a second truck minus the chrome and snow plow prep. Originally 5.0, SC, long bed, fx4, chrome and snow plow prep, max tow, and on board scales.

I found a truck I liked ordered through the dealer, tremor package with 402a. Dealer order confirmation 10/27/21, built 3/19/22. I put a deposit one month ago and still has not shipped. What could be the issue?

I am having the same issue. Found a truck to purchase and it was built 3/23/22. I contacted Ford and they said the eta for arrival to dealer is 5/14 - 5/20. There are so many threads here that I am sorry if this has been asked. 1) Are people seeing the delivery window change 2) What is the delay for shipping vehicles...surprised it has sat there for almost 2 months

From what I've read some of the trucks on chip hold have releasing and the regular output of trucks have put a backlog on train shipping. Some trucks sit in the railyard for a long time before moving.

Ordered on 5/11 and didn’t even receive a confirmation email. I thought everyone got that at least.

Thanks! It’s a bit funny, but I never received the original email for scheduling. The first email received after order confirmation was the delay email stating that the date of 4/4 was pushed a week later. It was on this email that I noticed the VIN.

But Wassam says working conditions on BNSF Railway, one of the largest railroads in the country, have worsened in the last few years, and the introduction of a new attendance policy earlier this year — one union officials have called “the worst and most egregious attendance policy ever adopted by any rail carrier” — was his last straw. He resigned in March and he’s not alone. In the last three months, more than 700 railroaders have walked off the job at BNSF because of it, according to the union.

Makes sense, I do remember hearing about that policy.

Ordered on 5/9/22, received email of production date scheduled - 6/13/22 and VIN. I'm surprised it was this quick.
