i had an 1988 with the 5.0 short box 4x4 3.55 gears 5 speed
barely got 14 mpg

it sure looks small to todays trucks

I spent a lot of time middle man on the bench seat of my best buddies older brother’s truck back in the day, a reg cab F250 (‘88 if memory serves) with 3 pedals and the 300 inline 6, that ol girl did nothing fast but she didn’t need to. I wish we still got em made the same way.

Close! It’s actually S Illinois and it was a cattle farm truck for years, beat to death. But it was kept in the barn when not used.

I had an 88 XLT old farm truck before I got my 21. That one looks nicer than mine did, though!

Middle man was the place to be when I was a kid. When you'd go fishing or hunting with dad and brother you sat in the middle and didn't have to open gates.

I was the middle child and the middle seat when it was the truck, dad, me, and my older brother.
