Is anyone still having problems with low 12v battery? My truck is constantly in this state (warning on the dash) so a lot of features remain disabled, mainly the interior ceiling lights. I’ve put the truck on a battery tender a few times which clears the problem for a day or two then it’s right back. I’ve had no starting issues, never needed a jump or anything. I’ve read all about the phantom drain that seemed to be a resolved issue. FordPass app shows my truck is up to date.

Do you by chance keep your key fob inside your truck at all times? I’ve had this warning message and the deep sleep message after not driving the truck for a couple days and having the keys inside. Once I took the keys out of my truck, never had this issue again, even after sitting for over a week! Not sure if it’s the culprit but so far has worked for me.

Do you drive it daily? If it is parked for a couple of days without running it goes into "battery save mode" automatic.

No, I don’t keep the fob in the truck and I’ve made sure to keep it far enough away not to trigger the approach sensors.
l’m thinking I’ve got a bad battery or need some type of reflash. I was just curious if anyone else was having this issue.

I have the same problems. I have not charged my battery because I drive 2 hours daily and the battery should be charged. I get the "System off to save battery " message about every other time I turn off my ignition. My start/ stop function has stopped functioning, welcome lights do not work half the time (nothing like getting into a pitch black truck at 5am). Very disappointed.

I just started getting this message every time I shut off the ignition.

I just got my truck back from the dealer after they installed all of the OTA updates I wasn't getting, and now every time I shut off my truck I get this message, the radio shuts off and the interior lights do not work the next time the doors are opened.

Thinking it was low battery, I put it on the charger. After I took it for a 4 mile drive and parked, killed the ignition, same message is there again. Battery voltage is >12v so I'm not sure what the cut off for this is.

Has anyone else gotten anymore info on this issue?

What I have noticed is that the system runs 12.6VDC. The issue here is that the OEM Ford Battery is an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) type battery. These apparently run diferently than a flooded cell battery with which many of us are familiar. A flooded cell battery will float in the system at about 13.2VDC. This corresponds to the 100% charge state for all 6 cells. I haven't figured out why an AGM battery runs differently (afterall it's still a sulphuric acid Pb-PbO2 battery) despite much research, but it apparently does.

Just got my truck back from the dealership. They warrantied out my battery and now the message is gone again.

Service advisor swears they had it hooked up to external power while they tried to force the OTA updates (over 6 hours updating) but if that's true I'm not sure why the battery would suddenly register as unable to take a complete charge.

Either way, a replaced battery seems to have fixed the issue for me.

I’m now having this issue as well. Truck was at the dealer last week for it and they said the battery tested fine and they put it on a charger while there. Now I’m back to no interior lights and same system message on the screen as well.

Dealer tested my battery and said it was fine.

Then they proceeded to change it anyway and the problem stopped.

Warranty invoice listed it as "Customer Requested battery replacement," however I assume it was the result of attempting to do updates for 6+ hours without the battery tender on it.

As a result of the 12.6VDC with several warnings about the battery system... and it was over Thanksgiving weekend during which I needed to travel... I replaced my battery with a NAPA AGM type battery. Charged it up to a full 13.2VDC level and put it in... shortly thereafter... it was back to a system voltage of 12.6 VDC... then had the dealer test the OEM battery. Guess what? It tested fine... So I infer that the DC-DC converter runs the 12V system at a constant 12.6 VDC regardless...
