Keep in mind that this truck is Always On. Whether the engine is running or not makes no difference. At least until it sits long enough for the battery to drain.

You can get rid of the two horn honk when getting out of the truck with the FOB... Changes can be made with Forscan... very easy...

Do you have the OBDlink EX or MX+?
I have the Mx+

Do you need the free version of FORScan or the FORscan light version that you have to pay for on Apple Store?

Check out the Forscan thread.... https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/2021-f-150-forscan-list-database-spreadsheet.1578/

Download the spreadsheet and you will see it under the common tab...

Double Horn Honk disableBCM726-63-02xxx0xxxxxx--disables double honk when exiting running vehicle

Also checkout the Forscan tutorial before you do anything and make sure to backup modules before making any changes. You can post in that Forscan thread if you run into any issues.

Thank you for the link.

I read the initial posts and google doc on Forscan.

Unfortunately I'm all in on apple products at this point so can't use the full Forscan product to make changes. Not sure I want to spend 200-300 dollars just to disable the double honk - especially since my wife and I just spent a ton during Black Friday and cyber Monday AND probably missed a good deal for the Fusion tablet suggested in that thread. I'll sleep on it for a few days - for now I'll just live with the double honk and continue to not completely shut my door. I wonder if my dealer would be willing to shut it off for me on my next scheduled service.....

I experienced the low state of charge warning on my 2021 F150 lariat powerboost last month. I researched and found through this forum that it was a common problem.

I bought the OBDlink MX+ and found my charge was about 30%, I tried some long drives, leaving it running with fan on 5 and could only get up to the mid 30s. I ended up using a 6A trickle charger for about 4 hours (unfortunately connected straight to the negative terminal and not on the other side of the BMS monitor) and the next day the OBD showed no changed in my state of charge (Likely due to the error in how I had attached to the wrong side of the BMS monitor) I did some more research, charged again for about 5 hours with the same 6amp trickle charge until the charger showed fully charged - this time on the vehicle side of the BMS monitor and my OBD showed 65% charged (Likely didn’t show 100% due to my error charging the previous day). Anyway, after sitting overnight battery was back down to around 40% after being 65% so i decided the battery was on its way out and ordered a replacement.

I replaced with a X2 https://www.batteriesplus.com/produ...WgjP2N6NqDP_lD-xLh3UWwE7D7AAUNevhZKpRaV9Ut_g2 battery.

I did the BMS reset procedure (high beams 5x, then brake 3x) and it showed 90% charged so i thought all was good yesterday.

Today, i get in my truck and it is already showing the charge is down to 78%. What gives? Is my truck doing something weird and draining my batteries or is this a normal level of drop for a brand new battery? Truck was sitting in my garage since yesterday around 40 degrees in the garage.

Here is a photo of my OBDlink app just a bit ago after I did a short errand.

I seriously could have written this post. Had the exact same problem and installed the exact same battery with the exact same results (low battery indicator and system off to save battery after about 5 days). I put in on a tender a couple of times but it's shocking how much the SOC would drop after driving, and overnight.

I took it to Ford today and had them look at it and they found that the aux battery under the right rear seat was dead.

Then, this evening after reading about the new software update, I went to check mine only to find that OTA updates was turned off (no doubt due to the "System off to save battery" thing). So I corrected that too.

Interestingly, I could never get the Vehicle battery days in service (on OBDLink) to register anything more than 0 and I noticed it is now at 1.0.

Hopefully the new aux battery and the OTA update will fix it. My plan is to monitor and hook up to the battery tender periodically because I mostly drive it on short trips.

Does anyone know what the "Battery Age in Months" display refers to? Mine still shows 45.9 months. Is that the Hybrid battery or the vehicle battery? If the latter I need to figure out how to reset it.

Many thanks for all the wisdom on this issue!
