12th gen canopy on 14th gen

I have a 12th gen (2014) f-150 with a 6.6 leer canopy on it. Has anyone tried fitting a 12th gen canopy on a 14th gen? I am considering buying a new f150 and would love to not drop $4k on a new canopy when I already have one.

I know 13th gen canopies don't fit great/fit short on the new models cause of the bed shape up by the cab, but it seems that the "wings" by in between the bed and cab on the new gen is similar to that of the 12th gen.

(I already know that the tailgate shape is different, and have a solve for that aspect assuming the canopy itself will fit)

I know the box depth is not as deep on my 14th vs my old 12th gen. That may be an issue with the height to the top of the cab? I was not able to fit my Otter XL Lodge fish house under my bed cover on this truck vs my old.
