Unfortunately there is no eta on the new bumper! With all these delays they are not sure when it will arrive. Sucks!!
I'm in the shop on a leaking coolant issue (heat exchanger in the exhaust). Dealer can't look at it till Wed unless they have a cancelation. Part is on national back order (149 requests ahead of mine - that hasn't been diagnosed yet).

Others have requested emergency shipping on their parts through Ford. You might try private messaging Ford on here with your issue. That may help with the delay in parts. I'll be trying that depending on what Wednesday brings.

That is crazy! Hopefully you can get the part soon! I did create a case # with Ford and they working to expedite my bumper! Still waiting.... I did get some pics at the body shop

Well she looks really nice even without the bumper. Hope that case# helps and you get the keys very soon.

I did get mine back. They said it was a small leak* and I could drive it while waiting. So I'll be checking the coolant often and putting a catch tray under the truck each night waiting for the part.

*Technically they drove it 100 feet and it didn't leak after that lengthy test drive. As long as the part is ordered, and I'm watching the coolant during commutes, I'm okay with it.

I did get a "trailer brake system failure. See the Manual." error when I picked it up. Restarted it and it came back up again. I went back inside and told the service guy. He left and talked to somebody and told me not sure why that came on, we didn't do anything to it.... :rolleyes: Took him outside, had him start the truck. No warning... :cautious: The truck had just been out sitting through a rain storm, so I hope I don't have a wiring problem as well. (I've driven through rain and not had the issue).

Last night I ran and got gas for the mower and diesel for the tractor for the season. Nearly $300. Then filled up the truck, about 2/3 of a tank, $75 + $6. Had to pay twice as the pump shut off automatically at $75. I think that gas station will need to reset their max amount at the pump, probably by a lot.....

Anyone else experiencing problems with appointments.

Not taking appointments - you mean you leave it there for 3-4 weeks until they get to it?

I drove about 30 minutes/miles away to get an appointment for the next week. I did not check the closest 3 dealers near me due to reviews (which may not have been fair, but I've use the farther dealer in the distant past, so went with them).

My CEL did not go off, we just noticed the leak on the floor. Couple of options if you don't want to wait:
  1. Contact Ford Motor Co on the forum and ask for assistance getting a quicker appointment. They may be better at getting an appointment for you than they are for getting me a heat exchanger shipped.
  2. Check fluids and see if anything there is off. If coolant is low, it could be related to this CEL thread: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/powerboost-cel-p237c.8634/
  3. Research the FORScan thread & tutorial, and if you are comfortable with it, read the code rather than wait a month for the dealer to read it. This may help you with a quicker appointment. On this thread - https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/2021-f-150-forscan-list-database-spreadsheet-💻.1578/ the builder used FORScan to diagnose the issue - I used the forum to figure out which part was faulty, took a pic, wrote up the issue and gave that to the service scheduler. Mechanic said it was very helpful in finding the issue (and they got the truck in a few days quicker as I pointed out it was a simple "replace this particular part" issue). My point being that if you diagnose it up front, sometimes a shop will act more quickly on getting started on the repair.
  4. Check with shops further out who may have a quicker appointment slot. The drive may be worth it.

Did anyone in this build week receive the stickers for the Trailer Backup Assist? Apparently 2021 Job 2 and newer were being setup to use the stickers again or the YAW Sensor. My dealer is clueless about any of this, but it sounds like we should have received 5-6 stickers in the glove box but I didn't get anything. Since the manual is electronic only, I didn't have any booklets or anything in my glove box. I feel like the dealership owes me some stickers, but curious if anyone else around this build time received any.

Just went to the truck and checked to be sure. Mine came with the Pro Trailer Backup Assist With Trailer Reverse Guidance Quick Start Guide. Inside the back cover is a pocket sleeve with the stickers.

There were other booklets as well (tire warranty, driving your SUV or truck, etc.) If you didn't get these booklets, you should have and should be able to get them from the dealer.

Thank you for checking @TN Rotty! My salesman checked his truck and had the same. He doesn't know why I didn't get all of those booklets, but has offered to give me his. I kind of thought it was weird that I didn't get all of the normal books you get with a new vehicle, but since the Owner's Manual is Electronic Only, I figured all of this stuff was as well.

Glad to assist. You have trailering plans coming up? I haven't towed my flat trailer yet but probably should get it setup before I need to use it.
Yes, I just purchased a 2022 Tahoe 1950 Deckboat and I'm going to pick it up on 5/23. I'm not sure if I'll end up using the Pro Trailer Backup, but wanted to get it setup in case I end up liking it.

Used it to put my boat in the water, and get my trailer back in the driveway. It did make things easier.


But now my truck is back in the shop & I have a loaner XLT. Looks like she came with a bad electric AC compressor. Didn't realize till it got warm enough to turn on the AC ? shop visit #6; 3,400 miles in.

It works pretty well. Just make sure you are in a BIG empty parking lot when you set it up, it makes you drive and turn a bunch with it so you'll want space.

The air conditioning doesn't work.

They already did a diagnostic-- compressor is bad; I assume from the start. But since I bought it in winter & it didn't get warm enough here to need AC until last week, I just found out.

So now I have a loaner, hopefully I get it back next week... I guess my truck skipped quality checks.
