Just a heads up for my fellow XL/STX MY22 orders in this week. According to another forum, our trim no longer will get the LED indicators on the climate control knobs (screen only), the vents no longer have the knob to close completely, and we no longer get the secondary closed box above the glove box.

Kind of a bummer, if true.

I’ve been trying to verify this and can’t seem to find it anywhere else

Me too, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. It seems like a weird thing to remove from just the base model... But I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

Edit: I reread the post and I misread. I thought it was about the small led lights that show up, but it's actually the display for the higher trims. The XL/STX seem unchanged for climate control. The other things I mentioned are what apply to the XL/STX.

Saw it. Source is legit from what I have seen. This stinks. Well, Ram is same way. Hope nothing else is eliminated. Ram has lot of stuff eliminated. I did special ordered a ‘22 Ram before F-150 and found out lot of stuff were eliminated, I backed out.
It would be nice if these types of changes were noted somewhere in the order guide. The only reason it really irks me is because I'm paying more as a forced 22 conversion, yet getting less in features now.

Agreed. But I can’t say I’m surprised. Ford did this to Explorer. They had leds in storage area for 2020 and got rid of them in 2021 for no good reason.

Deleting the temperature display from the dial sucks…it’s not a deal breaker for me by any means but the fact that sync 4 does not have a dedicated climate control screen or icon along the bottom to display the set temperature kind of stinks. I had a 2020 Ram 1500 and the temperature not being displayed on the knobs didn’t bother me because I could glance at the top corners of the screen to seen what the temp was set to and the icon would show me what mode it was in. Maybe they will release a newer firmware for sync 4 that has the set temperature displayed somewhere.

Currious for the folks that had earlier blend dates (11/29, 11/30) did any of you get the “your truck is built” email from Ford. I’m curious when to expect that to get an eta.

Right, Ram is that way. I sure hope so too! I’m actually worried that they might eliminate other things without noting it. Like losing dimming mirror, blind spot, etc. Ram lost those in Laramie trim. Wait and see is all we can do I guess. Too bad those ford insiders can’t take pictures of the line in the factory. ;)

No email so far. I emailed my dealer today asking for additional info and he said he doesn't have rail car info yet so I don't even think my truck has shipped out yet.
