10-Speed Trans Break-in Period?

I just have 500mi on my 24' and I have definitely noticed a few wonky shifts, I think it skips 2nd and goes to 3rd from a stop and that shift feels weird at times along with just putting it in D sometimes I feel like a surge or something, and I have to be completely stopped going from R to D or its a very hard change, hopefully it smooth's out with time.

Take a look at the gear spreads. Such a shift may make sense unless you're pulling a heavy load.

My trans felt awful for the first 1,000 miles and started getting noticeably better between 1,000 and 1,500 miles. In the end all my remaining complaints were just a result of the bad factory shift schedules and TCC lockup schedules. My truck never liked the stock coastdown shift to 1st at 5mph, but with a tune the shifts are very smooth and predictable. At this point even after clearing the transmission adaption tables, my trans shifts very well right from the first mile.

I sent my PCM to HP Tuners to get it unlocked, bought a HPT MPVI3 interface, bought a few tuning courses on the 10R80 and Ecoboost platforms, and I tuned it myself. There's a very steep learning curve, so this isn't the best option for most people, but I feel like it was worth the effort.

Oh wow, yeah DEFinitely not within my realm of capabilities, haha. I am THIS close to purchasing a Livernois Tune to see if it helps a lot of these issues.
