Take a look at the gear spreads. Such a shift may make sense unless you're pulling a heavy load.I just have 500mi on my 24' and I have definitely noticed a few wonky shifts, I think it skips 2nd and goes to 3rd from a stop and that shift feels weird at times along with just putting it in D sometimes I feel like a surge or something, and I have to be completely stopped going from R to D or its a very hard change, hopefully it smooth's out with time.
