I got my truck at invoice price. Since dealers are jacking the price up $5000 to $10000 do you think our dealers put a hold on our orders to discourage us?

I don't believe mine is. I ordered 2 same date same rebates, one is supposed to be here tomorrow, other is on chip hold.

Might not be that easy. It might not be a simple chip delete, could affect fuel economy and CAFE standards. Could be tied in with other systems etc,,,many reasons I can think of.

I wouldn’t think it would be any different for Chevy.

Also on another note, many have been worried about their dealer honoring the original price and or rebates. My dealer absolutely honored 100% what they had offered at the time of order. $3700 off x plan pricing so $9.5k less than MSRP. Have to respect that in times where others in our area are charging $5k above MSRP as a convenience fee. Good Job Estabrook Ford in Pascagoula, MS.

When I purchase a vehicle, there is a signed contract with an agreed upon price. I have never been told that they couldn't honor that price when the vehicle arrives. Do folks actually go to pickup their vehicle and be told they owe more than originally signed for or are folks just worried for nothing.

So in the US, there are dealers who are not honoring x-plan after the order arrives as Ford does not require them to honor it. When I ordered mine, I was told "this is the price contingent on what x plan pricing is" so I never had much more than a "gentleman's" agreement on price. Once the VIN was produced, then Ford told the dealer what x-plan was but still the dealer has the option of honoring that or not. They did, but there is a local dealer telling people they will not. So I don't know the legality of it or the difference here in the US and CA but I know there are some shady dealers.
