My wife was laughing because I told her: Ya know one morning I’m going to wake up and my truck is going to say built. And then another day I’m goi g to get the notice that it’s been delivered. My question is, what am I gonna do with myself when I don’t have to stalk the tracker, pursue the build week forums and chat with Ford?

I updated (just date) 3 times this week. Not that I have moved out of production. Chat is not even taking customers. Bad end to the week.

What does the date at the bottom of the sticker indicate? Just an update in Ford's system and most recent information?

Welllll, this morning Chat finally did confirm I am on a Chip Hold, but said still showing shipping next week. She said (I have nothing to go on but trust) that usually would have been changed ship date by now if did not think they were going to get it out next week. Every morning, wake up hoping to see the "Built" and "Shipped" emails.

My status has been shipped and on the way to the dealer for 3 weeks tomorrow (transit from Kansas City to Detroit). It's been on the ramp for the rail yard at Norfolk Southern in Kansas City since March 26th now and moved to a different ramp on April 1st (this is what it says in the Ford System). Hoping to see it soon, it's an 11 hour train ride to Detroit and then an hour to the dealer from the Melvindale Railyard.

I really hope it comes in with no damage sitting at the rail for so long.

Well today marks my 3 week chip hold anniversary with, according to the chat, 18 more days until my truck is completely built with the chips needed

The 800 number lady told me I'm still scheduled to be at the dealer the week of the 25th but had no info on my chip/s.

I was told by chat it would be to the dealer the week of 25th as well. I am not holding my breath.

Yea when I called the Marketing line a on 4/5 they told me delivery to my dealer of 4/27-5/3 and chat 5/3 to be complete. So I figure I’ll expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised if it’s early

I figured when the dealer calls and says it is ready, then I know I can pick it up.

On a side rant. If this is the way Ford is going to move forward with purchases, they really need to work the bugs out. I was told my truck would go in to production until all parts were in place. Now they were missing chips? I don't buy it. I think the trailer brake recall is slowing them down but why can't they ship it and let the dealer handle it? I think there is more going on that they don't want to let on about. Maybe my tinfoil hat is a little tight but this has been painful to watch.

If they are going to shift to a more order based model vs dealer lot based model, they really need to look at how Tesla does it. Getting my wife’s Tesla was the easiest most stress free car buying experience I have ever had. It was a 10 minute deal. Walk in, signed 2
Papers, went to inspect the car and document any damage, rep answered any question and drive off. No back office trying to sell you add ons, so back and forth on price, no negotiation on anything Overall the best car buying experience I’ve ever had
