Interesting piece of information from my dealer. Ford has told them they have enough chips in stock for the first two quarters of the year. He doesn't understand why anyone would be on a production hold for micro chips. Also mentioned that the online tracker is a little delayed. Key question apparently to ask is if your dealer has been invoiced for the vehicle. If they have been, they should receive the truck within a couple of weeks (part of that probably depends on how far from the factory you are). None of this is factual of course. Just what I've been told.

Yeah I think this whole excuse of Covid ruining supply is getting abused. It’s just poor excuses now.

Yeah my truck has been invoiced & on the website for about a week and a half now. I am 5 and a half hours from the Dearborn plant. Who knows at this point what is even going on lol

I wouldn’t even take ford marketing’s “excuse” of chip shortage seriously..I think their just getting used to using that excuse for any holdup.

Yeah I don’t really buy into it. I am so tired to the Covid “excuses” it’s not even funny. I think the same thing too, how are only a select few getting “chip shortages” but some ETA’s aren’t effected at all (like mine). Like come on people, I just want a solid freakin update. Yeah and if it was actual chips, why is the guy with the lariat 501a package getting held up but platinums and king ranches in this cycle don’t seem to be affected. Makes no sense!

Not yet. It shows as in production.

Gotcha. What does your online Ford tracker tell you about yours? Mine still has in production of 01/18 but doesnt say built yet.

Mine still shows in production, but the trim is now correct and the photos are showing my actual truck. Progress!

It was either early this morning or late last night when I last used the track and I got the F150 Lightning and there no series of pictures of my truck.

I checked it just now and it has the XLT I'm getting. And there images of the truck I'm getting. Right color outside and inside the right step bar, right size bed, right wheels, right 40/20/40 seats, etc.

Funny you say that. I started with grey x marks, Now they’re all just mysterious grey outlines shadows of a truck resembling the right thing..but hey…it’s a step forward for it looking like the right truck ?

Yes, before getting the correctly colored images, I also got the grey outlines.

I have photos in my tracker now too. Correct colors and features, and no more reference to a lightning. They are still generated images like the build and price, not assembly line photos (for those not getting pics yet)
