“The diagnostic file removal process has timed out”

Good afternoon all, after doing weeks of studying and reading the TSB, I decided to take the plunge into updating my stuck APIM.

I originally tried on my cheap laptop from Walmart, but got stuck when I connected the USB cable from the PC to the truck. I switched laptops and got further, I now have the ethernet cable connected and it is in the process.

However, I am now getting an error message that says the diagnostic file removal process has timed out. I keep clicking retry to no avail.

For context, I purchased everything exactly as recommended by the service bulletin for the procedure.

Has anyone else run into this? I didn’t see anything in the forum search nor good old google.
