The temperature gauge in the dash seems to stay right in the middle, though, so I guess Ford is okay with those temps? Last few times I have been locking out 8, 9 & 10, whereas before I would usually only lock out 9 or 10. Not sure if that is helping or not, to be honest.
High 230's and lower 240's, if I remember correctly, at least according to OBDLink. My travel trailer is well under 5,000 lbs, and that's around 65 mph...
It still hard shifts sometimes, and when towing, it gets hotter than I think it should, but I have not had any major issues since it was replaced. I don't trust it though.
Here is a post I made a while back. Ford completely replaced the transmission. Sounds similar to yours:

Mine is a 23, and I had to have the transmission replaced before 12K miles. I'm not sure what the exact problem was, but there are still issues with the redesigned version. Even now, it sometimes makes weird noises when pulling our travel trailer. Unfortunately, the dash in the 23 doesn't allow...
Mine didn’t even last 12,000 miles before it was replaced. I have just over 20,000 miles on it now and it still makes weird noises sometimes especially when towing a travel trailer that weighs less than 5000 pounds.
Damn. I had my transmission replaced at under 20,000 miles, and every time I'm towing our travel trailer, I'm crossing my fingers that the thing holds up. Reminds me of the debacle with the Focus and how Ford never took any action to make things right. The 10R80 transmission is a POS. Hope you...
It’s worked great so far! We did a 2000+ mile trip in November, and it performed beautifully. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind.
Our bikes weigh about 70 lbs, and getting them on and off the rack can be tough — having two people definitely helps. I learned that the hard way when...
2024 PB XLT.
My buddy texted me this morning:
"I used the app this morning to start the truck, came out to get in it and it wouldn’t let me in, using app, key fob, or button. Used the key inside fob to get in, now the unlock buttons don’t work inside. So can only use key and unlock drivers...
I have this adaptor that I use on our 30A travel trailer. It only pulls from one leg, so it's a maximum of 3600 W, according to the pro power screen in the dash. In November, when I was camping, I was using the furnace and hot water heater, and when I tried using the coffee maker, the PB...
Wow, that sucks. I'm pulling much less weight than you, but I only saw temps about 240. Your engine temp seems fine. I've looked for info on an overview of the complete cooling system on the 3.5 PB but haven't found anything. Do you know if the main engine radiator is also used for transmission...
Thanks for replying. I was in tow mode 100% of the time but only started manually locking out 9 and 10 after the second incident. Sometimes, I even locked out 8 on inclines.
Also, do you know if overdrive on the 10R80 is 8,9 & 10, or just 9 & 10?
Just finished a 2,400-mile RV trip towing a travel trailer (3,000 lbs dry, likely 4,000+ loaded) with a truck bed full of camping gear and two fat-tire e-bikes on a rack above the bed. My wife and I were in the truck.
The transmission was replaced at about 16,000 miles (the truck currently has...
I ended up going with Yakima JetStream bars and Kuat Piston SR racks. The complete setup was less than the cost I was quoted to have a hitch receiver welded to my travel trailer. There is a little wobble, but I am within the weight limits of the bars and racks, so I think (hope) it'll be fine...
