Yeah I just bought the STX since I didn't need all the extras. It has a console none of the extra super high tech BS, and a column shifter. also has the fold out work space which I keep my time sheets tucked in for work inside when folded. I don't care abut 360 cameras, electric leather seats...
I got a 23' and it skips 2nd quite often on flat ground driving easy, but if I am on an incline it will use 2nd. Also if a hit it hard from a stop to gain speed on the highway entrance ramp it will use every gear to accelerate and shift fast. Also sport mode and tow mode it never misses a gear...
Gm been using them since they were created as a joint venture with GM and Ford, but had 8 speed in 2.7 turbomax. 5.3 and 6.2 had 10L80 which is the same as 10R80 just different bell to match gm engine.
Mine only had 1 recall and it was about the Electronic E brake wires rubbing with single exhaust, I had it Dualed out the first week I got it, Yes true dual on a 2.7 ecoboost, It makes a difference for sure. took it in and had the fix done anyways, been great ass truck.
Wow that is a funky wheel they put on that thing, looks like a go cart steering wheel. I was confused by you needing to use a menu for cruise since they had it on the wheel the previous year. they can keep that one LOL.
I had it true dueled from the cats on the turbos all the way back with a duel in and duel out flowmaster with two tailpipes one on each side cowboy style
Bro That S*** is clean, Console setup in a single cab with power seats. I kind of wish I got the FP700 package on a single cab and done the same thing. That would be the ultimate in badassery.
Now all you need is this to set the truck off
