Just an FYI. Mine had rust also. I have spent a lot of time under mine inspection everything. I found Michigan salt residue (all cleaned up now). 95% of my rust is now taken care of with axle area repainted 1st coat. I took the old paint (85% of it) back down to the bare metal before...

Little difference. I have no issue with them. Still have to get use to engine cutting back on from electrice mode. All in all loving it and especially the ride quality.

From Nov 2020 through March 21, I looked and got zero. I even called Ford - they sent me a brochure but no PCO. Good luck!

Bill, I read an article about 2-3 weeks ago where dealerships were doing this to the new mustangs & high end Corba's. Ford Motor Corp (Detorit) told them to stop it. I would report it.

Update. I know why it collects surface rust so damn easy - they used a shitty ass paint. Paint looks like some water based crayon?. The rust remover will take it off their shitty paint. I prefer it to come off as it makes for easier repainting with quality paint.

All - I picked up my Limited this morning. This afternoon stopped by Autozone and picked up a bottle of Rust-Oleum Rust Dissolver 32oz. Sprayed it on - went back 45 mins later with a small wire brush and WOW - the surface rust was almost 100% gone. It was easy work. Once I complete the areas...

All, this morning picked up my Limited. Dealership did a get job at detailing the truck and getting a lot (but not all) of the rear axle rust off. Rust: Yes it also had rust. Rust amount was like Bob Curry's posting on his KR. I'm not to overly worried about it & I already have rust removal...

Dan, yes picking up tomorrow. I did a Pre-Inspection as part of the dealership PDI on Sat. Went over the truck top & bottom. Truck was filthy from transport and all the rain. I didn't pay much attention to cleanliness (it had not beento detail yet). I was look for damange, missiing items...

Yesterday, I looked over my truck & it's missing the lock cylinder mechism for the rear seat locakable storage. Appreicate anyone if they would post a picture of their's - so I can show the dealership what right looks like - a close up would be great - along with the key that locks / open it.

This is crazy & I'm willing to bet Ford leadership has not seen how bad this (your truck ) is - this cannot be wished away on Ford's part.
