it's a crap shoot at best. Ford gives higher priority to certain dealers with large volume sales. Granger seems to get their builds assigned pretty quick. Also it depends on what you ordered.
I ordered 10/4 with clean build notification same day. I believe I got the build week email the...
That is it. I just went to the Ford Build site, built out the truck as a 5.0 with max tow and BAP. no spray in. I then changed to the 3.5 EB and the spray in was added. Who ties this crap together. Insane.
They will add them back once all the issues get sorted out.
It's not just Ford issues. Its all the manufactures that ford deals with. On top of the chip issue is the shipping issues, and the materials that are imported.
Hopefully this is a major wake up call to bring manufacturing and mining...
Also here is my front end, with the sensors, from a Pic that Granger sent me.
It is a 502A 4x4 3.5 EB with BAP, Max Tow, Bed Util, and sun roof. Basically the same as yours.
who knows. Maybe the sensors are there but the software needed to operate is not. Makes no sense.
I would like to have it, but it was not the deciding factor for me to build what I got. I got the 360 assist to get the adaptive cruise and I didn't get the 360 active as I didn't want Blue Cruise.
That is my truck too. 502A with BAP carb gray. I have the 3.5 EB though. I believe the 360 assist 2.0 gives you FSS. As it has Adaptive Cruise control which would require those sensors.
Just a thought.
Wait, You have a 2023 502 BAP with Max tow and were not forced to get the spray in liner? I tried to delete that from my build and was told they couldn't.
Grrrr. The only difference between our builds, at least as best I can tell, is the 5.0 vs the 3.5 EB
I tried activating my FP after my truck was built and pending shipping for like 3 or 4 weeks. and then tried about every 5 or so days. I always received a timeout error bascially like you did.
Not to get your hopes up but when my truck was a few day's away from being shipped it no longer...
I second that red bap looks sweet!!!! and my Granger experience has be stellar so far. One last thing to do. Pick it up. 2/23 feels like so far away.
Seems like the further along in the process I have gone the more excited I am becoming.
My original order was May 11th last year. Ford canceled it on 9/30 before I got a vin.
and like Blackout said, there are still 22's waiting.
It is definitely not a FIFO process that is for sure.
good luck I hope you all get your trucks soon.
Ok. Just got done with the finance part. Flying out on the 22nd and taking deliver on the 23rd.
And yes, if you separate the ESP purchase from the truck then you get past the 180 Iowa sales tax (aka Processing Fee). Not sure if that is because my state doesn't have a sales tax or not. but...
The prep for Granger only took my truck about a day maybe two. They say 1.5 week just in case their are issues.
This was the last info I got before my truck landed at Granger on 1/24

and on that note. with the delete list still growing on the MY23's as well as those in the 21/22 years. If you have one that was built before the deletes occurd then they also may be a gem in the future.
But I don't care too much about that as I am hoping this is my last vehicle.
Yea, the processing fee is a state Tax. I was also informed that if you pay for it separate from the truck then they can get around that tax. Once I get the call, and finalize I will let you know
And yes, The @Granger Ford deal is great! I love how they are simply charging the market values...
So this Extended warranty from @Granger Ford is a good option if you live in a state with a sales tax of 7% or above.
As I live in Oregon (0% sales tax) It is better to go with FloodFord and not pay the tax.
Just my 2 cents here.
Aside form that Granger Ford has been awesome to work with...
Your missing my point. I never said running my life. I said doing things for me that I do not want to have done, with no option to permanently prevent it.
and the gas saving is Nominal at best while adding more wear on the starter, battery, piston rings, cam barrings, ... .. .... All to...
If I was stuck in traffic and wanted my engine to turn off, I would simply turn the key.
Just like Microsoft doing things for me. Let me do the thing I know I want. Stop trying to anticipate my wants/needs. I am a big boy and can take care of myself.
so far my only complaint with Granger, which is really my email provider I think.
I received an email from their finance department. I responded and hadn't heard back for about three days.
So I remembered reading, months back, on one of these threads, that the finance emails were sent to a...
