I started the passenger front yesterday and finished up this morning. Not too difficult but there is a learning curve to get the cover just right. After a week or so of heating/cooling, I may have to restretch the bottom, but I think/hope it will be ok as is.
How many miles and months of testing do vehicles go through before they go into production?
How many suppliers does the typical manufacturer rely on?
How complex are today's vehicles?
I tend to buy lower-middle trim levels just to avoid the headaches that all the bad engineering and electrical...
There is a 23 and a few 24's on Atlanta area lots. 2x4's from what I can tell. The 23 is loaded with a sticker of 43k, probably get that one for close to 30k.
Call me crazy, but I like the 04-08 RCSB, that little bit of room behind the seats was perfect for a small dog, your coat, groceries...
My 79 Celica 20R had 250k on it when I sold it. Regular maintenance/water pump.
My 80 F150 4.9 had 300k + when I sold it. Regular maintenance/water pump and a starter.
My 17 Fusion 2.0T has 200k. Regular maintenance/water pump/master cylinder.
My SILs 97 325i has 400k+. Lots of maintenance...
Again you want to argue. Other than a bedliner, most dealers do not install options. Maybe you are referring to paint and fabric protection. I was looking for a truck up until last month when I bought my XLT. I passed on a super nice used Limited and used Platinum that both had less than...
I have owned N/A, turbo, super charged and hybrid vehicles. Zero issues other than normal wear items. The fear mongering on batteries and turbos are unfounded. I would be more concerned with picking a good dealer that will stand behind Fords warranty and their service department without...
"Turbos wearing out".
I gifted my sister my 2017 Fusion 2.0T. At 200k it has had one water pump, one master cylinder and one set of shocks/struts.
Not too shabby in my book.
Many people are struggling because they make poor choices and they do not learn from their mistakes. We cannot predict the future, but I believe that SS is here to stay. It is a wise move to take responsibility for your retirement. Fifteen years ago we had one source of income, today we have...
I quit flying because I refuse to give up my rights when I step on airport property. The rights members of my family have fought for since colonial times.
"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty or safety." - Benjamin Franklin
it is sad that we live in the information age and most people are not savvy when it comes to finances. One of the next big crises we will face is the number of seniors living in poverty, trying to make it solely on SS.
A 59 year old friend of mine who has made an excellent salary for years...
Very unscientific data here. Most 5.0's I have seen on the lots have 3.31's. The PB has 3.73's.
My 2020 5.0 had 3.31's. Performance was great on flat ground. Towing or in the mountains it was definitely lacking in drivability.
Not everyone wants maximum power. My 87 year old neighbor had...
You can keep arguing with me, but I am not going to change my opinion that it would be simple and useful for Ford to put the CCC on the window sticker of the truck that they advertise as having best in class towing. I am not trying to convince you to change your opinion. If you want to study...
I live 1 hour south of Atlanta. There are hundreds of F series trucks sitting on Atlanta area Ford dealer lots.
The Ford website has the window sticker for nearly every truck.
If I am looking for 1600# +, or 1700# +, or 1800# + CCC, I have to open the door of every truck on the lot to check...
