For those trucks built without parts, they are not likely to go back to production line, but rather finalized by a "specialized" team.. It is likely that some truck built at a later date will all of their parts will arrive at the dealer in front of the partially built trucks.
Careful with that multi-function tailgate, if you leave your trailer ball attached and open the step, it's a trip to the collision center to repair the tailgate... There are warning sticker on the tailgate and bed side.
the Platinum has a standard alarm system with motion detection, that I think would go off if, especially for the tailgate. if you can climb under the truck and cut the catalyst converter off without disturbing the motion sensor you might be able to get a way with it.
I suspect that some of the truck built late January or the first few days in Feb may have been held at the factory to get the windshield removed and reseated prior to shipment.... So a truck that completed build Feb 3 would be held but a truck completing build of Feb 4 would be released to...
well expect to be between 17 and 18 based on last truck... I also drive it more like a race car than a truck. Spend the majority of the time in Sport mode.
I am currently averaging from the time I picked up the truck about 16, with a far amount of remote starts and about 1.5 hours of sitting in the driveway with the motor on playing with all the settings... 3.5 EB with 3.55 rear end, mostly city driving.
Ken, I have heard / seen both... I believe that any incentive "lock" is provided at the dealers risk. If correct that would most likely mean that the dealer would place a risk bucket into the deal to cover the potential of the incentive going away or being less at the time of delivery...
Well the Platinum tow mirrors are also power extended and retractable, Requires a additional switch in the drivers door panel, not sure about wiring for the switch.
In talking to my dealer they had a truck show up at the rail yard with a dead battery and the transporter was not allowed to jump it and the dealer could not send a service tech to replace the batter.
Ford sent out some type of special service team that took a few week.. It could be that you...
I am part of the group that hate the shifter knobs, at least partially due to no physical indication of what gear you are in.... personally I would have been pissed if Ford had done this to the F150....
Many people that Ford had asked during development had a similar opinion and some models...
This is just a guess but suspect that those trucks built in the end of January / early February (prior to Feb 3) are being held at plant for the windshield reinstall. Trucks prior to this issue being know where shipped and repaired at dealer, Trucks build after Feb 3 had the fix applied and...
Interesting, I kind of thought that the HVAC was totally electronic on the PB do to my experience on a test drive of a PB. In my case after the test drive I pulled into the dealers garage, the ICE shutdown but the HVAC continued to blow hot (not warm) air... Also I have heard from...
Does anybody have a aftermarket 20x9 +20 offset wheel with the standard tire size 275x60x20 on their truck... trying to get a feeling for the poke... ideally I would like the poke to be as close to the standard tire / wheel offering as possible but most of the wheels I like are 20x9 +20...
