Dearborn build maybe… if you have KC build, no way, the plant is down 7/19.

I’m not sure that’s possible, the VIN is for a 21 MY, and I think there are problems with reissuing these numbers or changing them. We’ll see I guess!

Nearly there myself, in every way. 3/31 order, KC build and eta of 1990. I think there will be a major problem if they can’t get these units built by the end of the model year… the VIN number would have to be reissued and I believe there are some legalities which would make this difficult, or...

I gather this is a US thing... any fellow Canucks received a letter? I suspect Ford Canada is playing possum.

Might want to check some of the above reports... KC will be down 7/19, and, if the previous shutdown was any indication, it takes weeks to shake out all the rescheduled builds, sometimes getting bumped a few times. Sorry to burst your bubble.

How about publicly shaming him and the dealership... start by publishing the names here, tell us all about your bad experience giving names and dates. Just don't lie or exaggerate... state just the facts. It will make you feel better and might even help people here on this forum who are...

I'm in the same boat... 2.7 and my desire is some improvement in the factory wheels/ tires without a giant mileage penalty. Not sure what you mean by killing power?... assume you just saying the extra weight of a larger/ heavier tire is a power penalty where the rubber meets the road? I went...

I think 2 crews = 2 shifts, but hey, it's 2021 so apparently there are no meanings to words anymore, and no consequences either.

So this happened... per a posting on another KC thread. slow downs for those 7/19's who are Dearborn built... The KC plant is going down again the weeks of July 12 and 19:... the rest of us with KC builds will have to join another thread when Ford bequeaths us a (another ) revised build...

Exact same for me, same order date same sched build date. Dropped into the dealer the other day and he couldn’t get a window sticker either. Apparently the WS will show up about a week ahead of build, he says. We should both Check on July 12 and compare notes then.

I posted the exact question on another thread last night… no replies yet. I have a 7/19 build and I’m wondering the same thing. I believe it’s a rail trip to (probably) the Brampton yard then convoy to Oakville. If you find out, let me know! sorry… re-read your question and my comment was...

There seem to be a number of variables (from various conversation in this forum). For us in Ontario, there seems to be 2 means of delivery. Luckily for you it seems Dearborn builds generally come here via convoy (transport truck delivery), whereas my KC build seems to usually come via rail...

I went to see my dealer today, he confirmed I am still on for 7/19… actually “scheduled to the date” is on the Ford report my dealer showed me. Has anyone else sched for 7/19 got a window sticker or blend date yet? Neither are available to me yet.

Where did you hear thee is a long(er) delivery for the 2.7l engine? That’s a new one for me!

i have seen a lot of buzz here lately on the topic. Looks like Ford is clamping down on dealers putting in "custom" orders to stock their lots. Seems many dealers were putting in orders for fictitious customers when they saw regular stock drying up, ... and us with custom builds getting...
