Most Ford service by now (and most LineX) should know the procedure. In the beginning it was a bigger issue. There has been both software updates (to prevent the issue) and education on how to fix it. Remember, the tailgate is designed for Owner removal (it's in the manual, pg 111).
On the threat of copying your Fob from your pocket (while walking around in public), is lessened (versus when parked outside your house), as they would then have to know which one is your vehicle, back in the parking lot. Of course, depends on where you are, parking lot size, etc. But here in...
Doesn't help your issue, but FYI what you're pointing at in the image does NOT light up. The "on" light is below center (under the icon and above the words at the bottom). Also, the Sync display should pop up the Select Trailer (or define new one) screen.
I assume you are thinking based on the dust patterns that your vehicle has acquired a magnetic field, thus you are asking about degaussing.
All the "sheet metal" on the F-150 is aluminum. I don't believe you are seeing "magnetic fields" affecting the dust. Aluminum does not acquire magnetic...
There is an interior light defeat switch in the switch console on the headliner (for most models). This prevents interior lights from coming on when the door(s) are opened.
Shouldn't be rust as most of the exterior panels are aluminum. Have you parked anywhere where some sort of aerial fallout (downwind of a chimney, or near someone welding, etc.)?
Sorry, I assumed you had your truck, already.
Here is the pic of the ProPower 240V/30A (but also 2 x 120V/30A) connector.
It is a NEMA L14-30R female socket.
The connectors are Gnd, Neutral, 120VAC and 120VAC. You can use it as 240VAC if you are driving 240V loads.
Short answer: YES, wrong rims can lower your vehicle weight rating.
Payload is determined by GVWR minus AS BUILT weight (your specific truck and options).
To maintain your ability to use the manufacturer's GVWR you need to ensure all of the parts that carry the vehicle weight meet or exceed...
Rating is not the issue, you could always use a higher rated cord, just you will pay more and it will be heavier (weight).
But your issue is you HAVE to look at the plugs. Look at the plug in your truck (female) and then look at the (male) pins/blades on what you are purchasing. Of course this...
Yes, I have an advance degree in Electrical Engineering, but that's not relevant.
You really don't seem to understand what you are actually proposing. You had an idea, starting "walking" thru it, and made (incorrect) assumptions about what could result, and it seems reasonable to you.
Your...
What??????
Basically you are asking why Ford didn't put in an (almost) perpetual energy system?
Besides, EV's already have "alternators" built in that is what allows them to have the range they do it, it's the electric motors being driven "backwards" during regenerative braking and coasting...
Can't help with the door ding issue (though I don't find that the extended running board will always be first point of contact from other vehicle doors), but, you can change the timeout on the retract to 5 minutes so that it's not going in and out so much when opening doors, or walking around it.
Now that we have (again ;)), at least for this post, clarified Keeping vs Centering....those wishing for a "trim" knob to set the Center position may be missing what was posted above from Owner's Manual:
"If you drive off-center within the lane, the
system sets and maintains that preferred
lane...
Not only is NOT using insurance claim money to repair NOT scamming anything.... if your not aware, you should be, the insurance companies do NOT want you to do cosmetic repairs.
I'll use one company that starts with the letter at the beginning of the alphabet..
They have it down to a (minimum...
Do you remember, did your truck just slow down some (like approaching a car in front of you) or did it go into pre-collision assistance, which would involve warnings, and then applying actual brakes, if needed. Part of pre-collision assistance is Pedestrian Detection. But that only works up to...
Get a key fob faraday bag (tons of them on Amz for less than $15 for 2).
This is not good for someone who wants to always leave fob in truck and keypad in and go.
But if you are parking your truck for awhile and don't want to pocket the fob (i.e. going for a jog at a park, airport parking for...
Correct mine was wired from the factory to the 12 pin with all the necessary wires. Search in the forum (I believe in this post) they have posted the PNs. As I remember it, there were a couple. I think a different routing for dual exhaust trucks. Also may have been one with the truck side...
Yes, I bought the total trailer harness with drop for YAW sensor, and all TPMS and Rear Cam. Don't have the PN, had the parts guy at my Ford place look it up for a SuperDuty.
