  1. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

Yes, that's exactly what happened. The OTA re-wrote the tune file and any tune in a truck would have been sent back to stock calibration. Me and FP went rounds for about a month when I went to trade my truck in and the procal FP tuner lost the factory tune file. Still showed it available, but it...
  2. Upgrading from XLT.

Oh I know. Former Ford Tech. Luckily my drive consist of about 4 of those miles being interstate driving above 55 mph. I know it sounds odd but where I live makes it very easy to get around. Its not 4 miles of backroads doing 35. I would say it gets driven about 3 days a week, if that. The...
  3. Upgrading from XLT.

I did. They gave me stupid money for my 22, so it left. I was worried about the mileage, but I talked them into tossing a 4 year 48k warranty. I also drive 4.4 miles to work every day and I have a P2 Volvo and a Vrod to drive/ride if the weather is decent.
  4. Upgrading from XLT.

Good morning crew. Just want to run some stuff past the members that have more experience and possibly their wisdom. I have the opportunity to buy a 23 Raptor at a pretty good price. My trade in is also priced VERY well. I'll be making money on my trade and getting the 23 at a decent deal...
  5. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

First thing is to open it up and grab the yellow paper with the alphanumeric sequence on it. Take that info over to the performance Ford site and enter it in registering that tuner to you, download the instruction sheet while you're in the site and read it twice. You can do all the downloads...
  6. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

Roughly about 5k, give or take fuel and how much of my crap I have in it. It's a Phoenix 921. My fuel mileage is a bit off because of the 4 inch lift and 33's I run. It averages about 13-14 towing the boat to Cumberland and lake Chickamauga. Daily driving is around 16-17 with some mixed highway...
  7. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

Sorry, been kinda busy. Tuner is great. Better fuel mileage, better mileage while towing my boat, response and shifting has all improved. I stopped down at Pauls Automotive as they are local to me and picked up a pair of tuners for me and a friend of mine with the same truck. They have them on...
  8. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

Will do. I'll find out this coming Tuesday. Have to have the shop do the actual download to retain the Ford warranty. I guess my Ford credentials don't mean much unless I'm employed by a dealer. Lol
  9. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

Headed to pick up a pair of tuners tomorrow from a local shop. He has them listed for 644.99.
  10. Auxbeam Switch Panel

Not yet. I have some renderings input, but it needs some massaging with the dims.
  11. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

Torqmaster/wingmaster standard 20 inch lower unit. It's the most common lower until on high performance pad boats. You might be thinking of a coned lower. Those are for boats that would exceed 90+ mph like Allison and Bullet.
  12. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

Edited to add. This boat just came off the Ohio River and its gross...
  13. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

Let me see if I have any on my phone. Boat is an absolute mess right now. Just replaced one of the bearings on the braking axle. SUPER amounts of fun. And I'm headed to Lake Chickamauga next week, so I have 18 rods and gear just sprinkled all over the deck. lol
  14. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

I would think a tandem axle trailer with a 21 foot bass boat on top of it with total combined weight nearing 5k (dry) without all my tourney gear, would be considered towing. Its not a lawn mower.
  15. TFL Truck: The Problem with Lifted Trucks That NOBODY Is Talking About...

4 inch BDS lift kit with 20x10 wides with 33's. Fuel mileage went down a smidge. I tow my bass boat with the truck. Stopping is perfectly fine, which is also the reason I keep up the maintenance on the brakes for the boat trailer. It essentially lifted the front back into alignment with the...
  16. Noisy rear end after 2" block lift

Side to side play in the shock? Shouldn't be any at all. I would say thats your noise.
  17. Noisy rear end after 2" block lift

I had went back over the rear about two weeks after the install. I had to listen to that noise long enough to determine it was in fact the rear and it was something I had installed. I retorqued the u-bolts and the shock fasteners. The drivers side upper shock bolt was giving me problems actually...
  18. Noisy rear end after 2" block lift

Recheck and torque the shock bolts. I had the same type of noise in mine after the lift install. Ended up being one of the shock fasteners wasn't tight enough. Rubber around the eye doesn't allow proper torque to be applied to the fastener.
  19. Auxbeam Switch Panel

The .stp file for the module under the hood, or the actual switch panel? I had seen a STL file for the Auxbeam on Thingiverse when I was looking for the one to build my holder for the Rough Country switch panel. Since ya know, the one I had to buy is different than the damn auxbeam one. Ended up...
  20. Auxbeam Switch Panel

How hard is it to get the sunglass holder piece out, do you have to remove the overhead console? I might try to take mine out and see if I can't print a piece to fit in there.
