  1. New tires: Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires (LT305/55/20) on unmodified F-150

I'll report back when I have more to say. I don't drive most days, so I just drove it home from Discount Tire, parked it, and it hasn't moved since. I'll be doing some driving the rest of Dec though, so I should have good qualitative and quantitative feedback in January.
  2. New tires: Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires (LT305/55/20) on unmodified F-150

That's the thing. I live in Daytona. My driveway is about the steepest hill I'll encounter! Just wanted something fat to keep me on top of the beach sand.
  3. New tires: Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires (LT305/55/20) on unmodified F-150

Just replaced my OEM Hankook Dynapro AT2 275/60/20. They were five for what they are: light, soft and quiet road tires. I had read on threads here that this size AT4W would fit the stock rims and not rub. TireRack said the same. So figured I'd give them a try. Truck is '21 Platinum PB Max...
  4. 33x12.5's rubbing on upper control arm... what are my options

TireRack website says AT4W 305/55/20 fits a stock truck. Maybe depends on options? FX4, Max Tow / Heavy Payload?
  5. 33x12.5's rubbing on upper control arm... what are my options

Not sure I can agree with that shop slam. They're in business to do what the customer wants, within safety considerations. Maybe most folks who do this, don't mind the rub, or on some, due to the natural variation in trucks and tires and load, it doesn't rub. Anyway, if it's a slight rub, at...
  6. Underbody cover falling off at 36,198 miles

Nice proactive approach, but you know, everyone in this thread is here because we've experienced this poorly designed fiber cover disentegrating. Mine was dragging - I was heading down the highway and at every expansion joint it bounced a little so I heard the bump at each joint. When I...
  7. Underbody cover falling off at 36,198 miles

@powerboatr LOL @ "diaper", but yea good idea. I'm fine with one bolt missing. Still has 3 in frame and the two "weak" ones into the front cover. WAY stronger than what came off. For me, chances of a log are low. This is an almost $80K truck full of gizmos I don't want to replace. It'll...
  8. Underbody cover falling off at 36,198 miles

Yea it came in today to my local dealer. I picked it up at lunch, took it home and removed old / installed new. Super easy. Total of 6 bolt holes, 4 for frame and 2 which align with the back edge of the oil pan metal protective cover. Only 3 of the 4 frame mounting points had a corresponding...
  9. Underbody cover falling off at 36,198 miles

Just ordered this cover, plus the nuts/bolts, on Ford.com for total of $155 including tax.
  10. Horrible MPG?

I just went back and found a pic from when truck was brand new, not a month old so not even decently broken in. Second one was a year later apparently. Can't find any in my gallery of around town.
  11. Horrible MPG?

You are correct we're measuring, and talking about, different things. I'm saying when conditions are right - speed under 50, light traffic so I accelerate slowly without irritating folks, few lights, etc - I'll get high 20s as I previously stated. When I'm out trying to "get there and back"...
  12. Horrible MPG?

Not rude at all. All good. I'll try to remember to take a pic sometime soon. Certainly depends on traffic and route.
  13. Horrible MPG?

Mine is as heavy as it could be: Crew Cab, 4x4, PowerBoost hybrid, max tow, sunroof, power everything (Platinum), bed liner and folding cover. Highway, depending upon speed: 80mph: 20mpg 70mph: 22mpg 60mph: 24mpg Around town, if I'm careful, I'll get 28mpg. Now towing or spirited driving...
  14. Tow Mirrors Vs Regular

I have tow mirrors and they are essential for me, because I sometimes drive across states with a good sized travel trailer which is 8.5' wide. Without tow mirrors I literally have to swerve to see what's next to me or coming up; total BS.
  15. Biggest Tire SIze You Can Fit With No Mods

Dang! Those K02s have quite the sharp shoulder, don't they?! Still, the stock tires must be very close, for the same size in a more-square style to rub! Yikes!
