Update:
Drove 74 miles today, all flat terrain. Not even any hills. I started at 402 MTE, when I parked I had a net gain of +69 miles on my DTE and more telling, is my truck still says I have a full tank after filling it up on Saturday and making multiple trips around town and to clients since...
Ok thanks, must be someone I have on ignore. I was PMed a screenshot someone saying "I asked if this was normal and didnt like peoples answers", which I never said... I asked "Any ideas on the MTE issue?" I dont know who the screenshotted person was, but that might be why I have them on...
I'm not sure if that question was posed to me or someone else, but if it was posed to me it's not an opinion.
I have owned the truck for over 3 years now, logged 50k miles on it and only recently has the DTE gauge acted the way it has. This is completely new and nothing like what I am used to in...
Lets talk offline. Maybe I can make a donation. It would be cool to have for myself but I wouldnt get my money out of it like you would. Youve been a great contributor to myself and others with your scans. Maybe others can chip in also. What is ot, $900 annually?

Sorry I am just now seeing this...
I have had NO issues after this cheap fix. I did replace the original whites with blacks (I only had whites originally). No tears, nothing has come loose and still no rubbing, give her a try..
:)
Mine still does it. I think I saw a fix on this but have not tried it.
I think there is a setting in Forscan to increase the power or something... of the light or frequency or something?
Sorry I know I'm not helpful, just haven't spent much time on my truck lately.
Now that I'm typing this, I...
Lube em up... Had this problem on my '15 Platty... Just lube em up and you should be fine.
If you drive in dirt, sand, etc pressure wash them first then lube em
Not at all. I used them on Chrome tips for quite a while. Last three trucks at least. I also use it on the outside of my barbecue, stainless steel, and it works perfect.
