I went under.. Advice on going under is to mark and cut the holes a bit to allow the screws to "slide in" as you tighten down the work surface. I didn't and the edges pull away from the velcro and turn up.. I'll probably go back and fix this but it's not a big deal

I feel for you. My experience was not great but yours is much worse. I’d be asking your dealer for his zone manager’s number and have a conversation about your experience with them.
