  1. Towing Stability Upgrades?

If you’re feeling sway, I would look at the WDH and see if it needs to be adjusted/tweaked for your setup. I tow a 24’ enclosed car trailer and total length is just under 30’. Fully loaded around 9800lbs and 1150lbs of tongue weight. I’ve had it on the scales and I’m 230lbs under GVWR. I run a...
  2. Leak-3.5 EB.

Keep us posted how it works out!
  3. Leak-3.5 EB.

Almost forgot to take a pic, so just ran out the truck tonight with a flashlight. Not the best pic, but you can see the seepage. Maybe not as bad as the OPs, but I think this is going to have to get way worse before I do anything about it. Interesting mine is also the passenger side of the...
  4. Leak-3.5 EB.

I have a little oil seepage in that exact same spot on my 2023 3.5 truck with just 23k miles on it. I noticed it the last time I checked the oil and was just looking around the engine bay. It’s not nearly as bad as what the OP has pictured, but I imagine over time it might. I’ll try and grab a...
  5. Ford Performance tune for 3.5's coming (It's here!)

So how was it overwritten? Is it possible the OTA PCM update that has gone out recently re-flashed the truck?
  6. Moldy a/c smell

    Exactly.
  7. Ford Recalls 103K F-150 Over Damaged Axle Bolts

My hunch why the recall was just expanded is because they are FINALLY now building new max tow equipped trucks with the updated axles. We all knew it was just a matter of time before the recall was expanded as people were posting newer trucks with the same junk bolt design. Ford playing games...
  8. Is your trailer too long?

Using his math I just squeak under the max length by 1/4” with my enclosed car trailer. With my Weigh Safe WDH I never experience sway. It’s like the trailer is on a railroad track behind the truck. Only thing I don’t like is the ‘truck suck’ with semis.
  9. Site Downtime: Our Apologies

Thanks to all who helped get things back on-line. The server upgrade is noticeable! Super snappy!
  10. Need Help RAS Standard Duty or Heavy Duty

Depends on the tongue weight of the setup. They recommend the HD version for 600lbs+ of tongue weight. Under that, the SD version is fine. I have 950lbs of tongue weight with my trailer, so I went with the HD version.
  11. Stuck between 1/2 and 3/4

I’m back in this thread again. I’m just surprised so many are pushing for a 3/4 or 1 ton for an open car trailer! I’ve been an open trailer guy for 20+ years since I started racing. During that time I‘ve had a 1995 5.0, 2003 5.4 2V, 2011 5.0 and now a 2023 3.5 truck. All performed flawlessly...
  12. Stuck between 1/2 and 3/4

Open car trailers and a half tons go together like peas and carrots. I know your car is on the heavy side and those Uhaul trailers are built like tanks. Go get a typical 2000lb open deck car hauler and call it good. If concerned about payload when the family is with you, pack more stuff in the...
  13. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

Yes, for sure would put it back to 2wd. Maybe I need to do more testing with sport mode when towing. It doesn't do any of the engine braking when slowing down, but the effect of that with the small displacement 3.5 is pretty minimal anyway. I'm also curious how long it will hold gears before...
  14. 2022 CCD shocks ride like crap?

@Snakebitten I installed the HD RAS kit and had my first test run towing to a race event with my 24' enclosed trailer a few weeks ago. At the black disc setting (thickest) I'd say it improved the bounce/porpoising I was experiencing by about 50%. RAS said if I wanted to crank these things all...
