    Oh, I do have a 3rd party (dealer recommended/pushed) extended warranty 5yr/125k but they are acting like...an insurance company and holding up repairs. Trying to find reasons not to cover it. Covered $50 of my $255 towing bill.

  4. Transmission overheating with less effort than expected.

    Have them check the fluid level. Overfilling causes the fluid to froth and not cool effectively. Happened to me and a few other folks on this forum. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

    Truck has been fine since transmission was replaced and they got the fluid levels correct. Sorry to hear about your issues. Ford service departments are not doing well.

    My driver side has always been slower, and increasingly, it doesn't fold or unfold all the way. I have to press the button 2-3 times on occasion. And yes, it has started to squeak. I'm past my manf. warranty period so I figure I'd ride it out till it stops working and use my extended warranty.
