2021 Lariat F150, my navigation since last week started to give me inaccurate location then all the sudden it worked fine for a day and went bad the next day. I got a code through Forscan B119F :13 (GPS Antenna Circuit Open)
Can someone suggest a solution? Is there a certain direction for...
Yes I definitely recommend changing the fluid every 35-40K. My mileage is 60K, Yesterday I changed mine along with filter and gasket. The fluid looked really dark and needed to be changed earlier so don't follow owners manual which says 150K. Now it shifts much smoother and very happy with the...
Man all temps you're mentioning are under the shade not direct sun, I mentioned in Kuwait its 125 under the shade. But under direct sun its not 125 in Kuwait or 137 in death valley. Direct sun temperatures are much more higher than under the shade temperatures. If you're not understanding what...
I'm from Kuwait (Middle East) I use 91 (RON octane) which is equivalent to 87 in USA (RON+MON/2) my truck is 2021 with 60K miles without any issues.
FYI Kuwait is the hottest county in the world. Shade temperature reaches 125F in the shade and 170-180F under direct sun.
In my opinion, you are...
Summer update,,,
So the current temperature in Kuwait now is 115 F and it's still not official summer :) Just to keep you guys updated, highway trans temp is around 180-190F and I never seen it reaches more than 205F while city driving. Currently I'm always having my AC on at max so of course...
As per my experience, first thing is to do all required updates through FDSR then see how it goes. I had terrible tranny until I updates everything through FDSR. Now its running like a charm. Mine is also 2021 so for sure you have many major updates.
I do have the same problem and worse what I did is I changed my thermostat to SPD 170 because the way 10r80 transmission cooling through engine's radiator coolant. The thermostat lowered my tranny 20+ so far. Read my full story here
My 2021 5.0 4x4 Lariat had very hard down shifting 5 to 4 and 4 to 3, feels like a car is pushing you from behind or an accident. I went to a guy who works with FDSR he updated all my car modules including ecu ecm etc. All the sudden my truck tranny runs perfectly fine without any problem.
Most...
Another update since today is the first day I started up my car while it was cold sitting all night long.
1- Engine temp 175-195 depends on highway or traffic jam.
2- Tranny temp never went more than 185.
I'm glad about the 170 thermostat outcome and I'm sure it will help out my truck more...
Most of you guys are living in USA so you don't suffer from tranny heat unless towing or loading and going uphill, but I live in the officially the hottest city of the world (Kuwait City) so normal driving during hot summer months ( late May til September) I get crazy tranny temps under normal...
Just to keep you guys updated about my case. Today I installed spd 170 thermostat. Engine temp run between 175 to 185 and also the tranny temp went max to 195, it was going up to 215 during this time of the year (air temp 60-75). So the thermostat helped out lowering both my engine and tranny...
Engine temp it ranges from 190F to 210F where fans kicks on and then it goes back to around 190F. My main problem is the trans temp and I've read some post where people installed 170 thermostat and their trans temp went 20 degrees down. I created this post just to make sure that 2021+ models...
So that means installing a lower thermostat like 170 will help out cooling the transmission fluid temp.
I live in Kuwait and summer is coming, I don't want to see my trans temp reaches 220-230 anymore.
