Its definitely a complex system, with some being fed from the factory amp, and some from the head unit, and I understand the front A pillar tweeters are an 8 ohm tweeter. I'll try to keep up with your progress.
Thanks
Thanks for the quick reply, so are you splicing in to the speaker wires from the factory DSP behind the rear seat to use the AC LC2i to feed an amp to power your front and rear speakers? I'm told by every shop and many others that say it cant be done, that you have to bypass all the factory...
Hi Kevin, how did your system turn out, I also have the 18 speaker unleashed, and have trouble finding someone that has done small upgrades without ripping out everything and adding all new amps, DSP's, ect. Just curious how well some aftermarket speakers would sound without the other upgrades...
Thanks for the info, do you have the 18 speaker B&O unleashed system, and put 3 way 6x9's in the front doors, and kept the factory tweeters in the A pillars, with definite improvements??
Thanks in advance
Thank you for the info, I may check out the kickers.
Thanks, so did you put components in the front doors with matched a pillars? And are you on the 18 speaker unleashed, with no aftermarket amps, if so how is your new sound.
Thanks again for your responses, have been trying to find someone...
Thanks for the quick response, so were your front stock 6x9's a coaxial type that run with the A pillar tweeters, and you added a 3 way to just the door?
I'm having install shops tell me all different shops, so I have been researching on here, and with Crutchfield, but they don't have a ton of...
I was checking your info about speakers, I have a 22 with the B&O unleashed, 18 speaker, I'm getting conflicting stories about weather changing out the factory door speakers alone would be a positive outcome with that system. The fronts are from the DSP/AMP, and the rears come off the head unit...
I was told by another door block off plate vendor that the 21 and up have a better foam or similar cover over the door holes, and the door block off plates are not needed, is there any truth to that?
I was told by Hush Car Audio that the 21 and up had a better piece of foam or something better than the previous models, so he doesn't sell the block off plates for the 21 and up, but by looking at yours, that clearly is not the case.
