I have struggled with this for over 4 years now and finally found the solution and so I will share with you all the fix. Using Carplay or android auto whenever I would get a message I always got a very loud very obnoxious chime and no matter what I did I couldn't get rid of it. Turns out...

The easiest, safest and cheapest way is to get 0000 steelwhool with the soap in it. You can get a bow of that stuff at your local dollar store
