I was getting misfires so replaced the plugs and ignition coils. Then I got a check engine light related to emissions. Then it started running rough and misfiring again. Internet looping by my wife says this is related to a fuel pump issue.
My money is on the heat exchanger. Sounded like shaking a metal can with a few coins in it, or at least it will. Recalling them in Canada and supposedly recalling them in the US next year when there are enough parts. Had mine replaced and ford ate 600 of the $900 cost. The letter advising of...
My truck threw the code (emission system) in July while in Yellowstone. Thankfully, it cleared the next day, but threw it again a couple days later while towing the camper back home to NorCal (cleared again). Took to the dealership in September when it threw the code again. The recall had just...
Had mine replaced yesterday. Ford dropped it down from $900 to $255. My wife found a letter from September explaining there may be a recall coming next year and for those who’ve already had the repair, a refund. Trucks been in the shop five or six times since September. First few times were for...
My heat exchanger sounds like a tin coffee can with coins in it being shaken, when the truck is warming up. I’ve noticed there is a recall on these in Canada (letter issued 5/31/24). Set to be replaced tomorrow at a discounted rate. Have any of you had this problem and had it repaired via...
Redding to Bakersfield and back last weekend. Cruise set at 82, AC blasting as it was over 105 degrees. Varying headwind, tail wind and significant crosswinds. 22.1 mpg. That’ll do.
This is what we got this weekend. Redding, CA over the mountains to Winston, OR. Then west over the mountains to Coos Bay, down the coast to Eureka, CA and back over the mountains to Redding. A lot of climbing, turning and downhill. The last 3/4 were with a Leer shell on the back. I’ve got...
This is what we got on our trip home from picking my PB up in Bullhead City, AZ. Drove north to Vegas (spent the night) and Beatty, west over the hills into Death Valley, west over the hills out of Death Valley, north to Mammoth/Bodie/Reno, and them west through Susanville to home. Added the...
One more thing for my fellow PBs. What is the MPG looking like while towing? Our RPOD is around 3k lbs and we tow on flat (I-5) and mountain roads. I won’t hold anybody to the numbers posted, just curious and can’t wait to take it camping.
I just picked up my Powerboost. Any tips for using the generator while camping? I have an RPOD for boondocking. We have solar and upgraded to 2 lithium batteries, so I doubt I’ll need the on board generator, but knowledge is power.
Thanks!
Also, did you use a dog bone and plug it into the...
