Depending on how high the coilovers are adjusted, you may reach the travel limits of the CV joints and just rip them out if you bot them out. Saw this more than once in the Toyota Tacoma forum. Not a pretty picture.

I would.just go with the 22's. They will clear the spindle and fill out the wheel wells better than 20's do.

I would say that they are worried about the offset of your wheels being too positive. Being that the inside of the rim would rub the spindle somewhere. So I would start fishing around for the max amount of positive offset for 20" wheels that fit. That may be hard to find here as most have just...

Why stop at the transmission? Find a totaled GT500 with everything. Make sure it runs and drives. Then take out all of the F150 motor, trans, harness, ETC.... Replace with the motor, trans, harness, ETC...from the GT500. It will take a while. But it could be done.

Depending on the paint and clear they use, it may last longer than the stock paint.
