From what ive read they changed something on the sticker itself. my first sticker was 7/29 and second was 8/5. i saved them both and laid them over each other, there was no change for me.

Also, anyone from this build week take delivery yet? I hope mine is in by 8/17
Nope...mine shows built 8/4 but is stuck "In Production"

I went through all my dealer's DTP inventory to see how delivery compares to production date. Also asked them for a copy of the visibility report this morning. My productivity will go up 10 fold once I finally get this truck lol

Ford F-150 8/2 Build Week 1628786540120

Interesting that they have trucks that have been on the lot (or at least not removed from their website) for over 3 weeks.

How are you getting ship date and Delivery date from just the VIN. I hate to say that I want to do the same exercise on my dealer.

Yesterday Ford Performance chat advised my truck was in transit in Moberly, MO. Today, they advised me my truck is in transit in Peru, IN. Making progress!

FYI - PalsApp still says my truck is in the rail yard near the KC plant. So don’t rely on that for accurate tracking!

So... if that's what Bangheadhere is referring to, he's got some sort of special situation going on where his truck's already been activated. Unless he's referring to a different spot for the firmware update info?
Hi Sorry guys was away for a while... Yes, I was talking about the last Sync update timestamp in https://www.ford.com/myaccount/account-dashboard which WAS showing 8/4 but now is strangely absent! All I see now is:
Ford F-150 8/2 Build Week 1628789568221

And my window sticker is still back at "check back later" even though it was all there before. I'm wondering if they're parting out my truck to make others......

Maybe vin search on the dealer site, get the window sticker which give your order code, then checking the trackers?

I just ran a search for everything in Space white and Guards Green (which are KC exclusive colors) coming to south Florida, that is how is was able to determine most units are arriving in 10-14

I used the fordtracker. tech (f150gen14 for some reason blocks this) website, which you do not need the order code for, to get the build and ship date. I used palsapp to get the delivery date.

Does anyone know what the Wade lot is in Claycomo ? Just trying to figure out if my truck is coming by rail or truck. Palsapp hasn't updated in 2 days and ford performance said its passing thru Argentine KS today. Looks like there's a rail yard there. I'm about 20 miles north of Chicago, so I figured it'd come by truck.

New Theory: Maybe the reason some are seeing their firmware was updated and others are seeing 'Updates Unavailable' is because there was an update on 8/5. Those with blend dates on 8/4 or before had to get the 8/5 update, so their dashboard is showing their truck updated on 8/5. Those of us with blend dates of 8/5 onward had their trucks 'born' with the update already in place as part of the initial upload of the truck's 'brain', so we have no updates done yet and our dashboard shows updates 'unavailable', at least until there's an update on, like, 8/17 or something and our trucks then update and have update info to show.

I don't know, it's just a guess, but could be.
I'm not sure if this is relevant, but if you check your Ford Account dashboard (not the vehicle dashboard), and if you have set a preferred dealership, it shows the dealership, and the distance to the dealership

Interesting! I did a few of the trucks on my dealers website and noticed that, on average, more recent trucks took less days to arrive than earlier trucks, and this appears to hold up based on your data. I'm surprised that it takes that long to get to Atlanta - not much different than transit times to Manitoba. Maybe most of the time has the trucks waiting for loading/unloading vs actual travel.

By the way, you might be interested knowing that your Thrashers are doing pretty well in Winterpeg... :)

My calc for days to deliver is from the production date not the ship date, so if you are calcualting from the ship date that could skew it a bit.

The Wade Lot is a Jack Cooper Transport storage lot adjacent to a railhead just a short distance from the KC Truck Plant. It looks like the Trip in question was a 1-mile hop from the factory lot to the Cooper lot. So the truck got hauled on a five-minute journey from the lot at the end of the assembly line to the lot at the start of a rail journey. A step closer, but a small one is my guess.

I just talked to Ford Performance and they said even though mine was built on 08/05 and is still stuck 'In Production', they saw no issues with the truck, no parts hold or anything. It's just at the plant awaiting its turn to be picked up for shipment and is expected to be delivered by the Ship ETA. So hopefully that means yours is in the same state and that the rumors of a chip hold were greatly exaggerated!

Hey, did a bit more digging since I'm something of a railroad buff and now that trains are involved, you got my attention ;)

Since your truck is now in Argentine, I'd say it's definitely coming by rail. There's a major BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) yard there. That doesn't mean your truck is coming on a BNSF train necessarily, but the train it's coming on will be built there.

Looks like Palsapp tracked the journey your truck took (by truck carrier) from the factory to a loading lot (Wade Lot Claycomo) about a mile away. The truck was loaded onto a rail car there, and then was picked up by a local locomotive and taken a few miles down the branch line to the rail yard in Argentine. Per the Ford Perfomance guys, it's now in Argentine and could wait on the carrier car for anywhere from a few hours to a few days while its train gets built in the switching yard. From there, it's a rail journey to near your destination and the whole procedure likely reverses... the carriage your truck is on gets broken off from the train in the destination yard. It, and probably several other carriages are taken by switch engine down a branch line/siding to an unloading facility. Your truck gets unloaded from the carriage it rode on since loading in Claycomo, then it sits in a lot at the unloading facility until picked up by an over-the-road carrier for delivery to your dealer.

That's my best conjecture of 'The Story of Leadfoot21's Truck from Factory to Dealership', take it for what it's worth! :)

Sounds like you know your railroad stuff.

What are your two cents on my situation? My dealer is in the Greater Milwaukee area. Truck has been sitting in Markham Yard, IL, approximately 90 miles from the dealer, since 8/5/21. Delivery ETA showing as 8/24-8/30.

Thanks for your insight, I knew there was a lot involved with the logistics of getting a vehicle shipped, especially by train. This is the first time I ordered a vehicle fom scratch, so quite intrigued by it. I just figured since it was about an 8 hour ride from me, it would be trucked. It's probably why my ETA changed from 8/24 to 9/12, but I will wait patiently. Cheers
