Is price a issue if you need a truck now? ?

Anything is possible right?
I don't think anyone has been able to accomplish this yet and it hasn't been for a lack of trying.

One guy posted that the dealer is doing this for him? They mistaken ordered it without them. Should be interesting if they are able to do this.

From the other threads on here, it hasn't been easy or reasonably priced.

yeah been following those threads. Goes from a $250 option to something $1000-1400 per mirror (not counting labor). And it seems like you give up at least some features like either cameras, BLIS, or power telescoping. Doesn’t seem worth.

Yeah I know I looked into it as well..it’s one of the must haves for me so I made sure my order included it.

Since there are threads for build weeks, we need one for all the chatter for those who have submitted orders but haven't received a VIN yet, still sitting in the unscheduled club. We can update each week if we get promoted and can leave this thread. hah!

Post your order date and your order specs.

I've read the adaptive steering is the hold up. I can't remember if they gave the option to remove it to get your order faster. You could talk to your dealer.

On July 22 and July 29 they only scheduled Plat/KR models that had 17A (Adaptive Steering) on their build
https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/70846-ford-weekly-scheduling-notes/&page=3

Also, Platinum models built in Job 2 (July and later) no longer include Adaptive Steering as part of the package.

Here's my tale of woe.
I placed an order on 05/26/2021 for a Race Red Supercab XLT.
Got to thinking and got back with my dealer to ask about making some changes on 07/17/2021. Dealer said go home and think about it and let me know Monday. I go in on Monday 07/19 and say "Let's make the changes". He says OK and we start to make changes. He says I can't find your order. OH NOOOOO!!!! Then he finds there reason why. My Race Red had gotten it's VIN. Bottom line is the dealer says he wants me to get the truck I want and he will just take the Race Red as inventory. So now I'm back to VINless status on my Velocity Blue Lariat with the Sport package Supercab.
I told the dealer I had been thinking and when I start thinking one of two things will happen. I will either fall asleep or become dangerous. Well, I didn't fall asleep.

Hey everyone, any recommendations on whether or not I should place a 2021 order right now vs waiting for a 2022?
the reason I would want to to place it now would be to avoid any price increase that may happen. If the price increase is only a few hundred for my build then I’d rather wait for a 2022, but if it’s in the thousands I rather put in an order now

I don’t think there are many production weeks left for 2021s. If you did place an order now I think you’d be lucky to get one produced before they switch over to the 22s.

But yeah it seems the general thought is 22s won’t change much, but MSRP will probably go up, whether $200 or $2000 can’t tell until the new production guides come out. With that said, maybe they’ll make some options standard on lower trim to make up for it. More discussion here: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/2022-f-150-ordering-start-of-production-dates.3660/

I’m not even sure how incentives will be by the time I take delivery (if my order even gets produced at this point). I was hoping for some nice end of year incentives, but with stock and demand the way they are, who knows.

A lot of uncertainty right now.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely check with my sales rep as soon as he's back from his holidays.

I would say you could put in an order now and probably see what the new options are on the 2022 when ordering opens mid September. I doubt we’ll have or trucks by then. I’m more worried they’ll get rid of some of the stuff in the lower trims and wrap them into higher price packages. The more higher packages they get you in the more they can profit.
