I leave my dealer alone but ask the guys on the chat line at Performance Ford at least twice a week.
Ah, I always figured it was my dealer who would handle VIN/ etc. With the chat line in mind, where can I find it? Very new to this sort of thing so I apologize for the questions. Thanks in advance.

Lariat Lounge is where it’s at, for sure. Just one request:

I need you guys to tell me it’s not worth upgrading my order to the 502a from 501 just for a heated steering wheel. That’s really all I’d care about in that package (I think). But it was cold this morning, and I thought of how nice it would be to have. Am I crazy? ?
I agree. I recently ordered a Lariat with 501. I like the idea of a heated steering wheel but I live in the south so I wouldn’t use it too often.

I was also considering a fully trimmed out XLT (502A, upgraded speakers, power tailgate etc.) vs a 501A Latiat. After dealer incentives it was worth it for me to go Lariat. Was ~3k difference but it comes with leather cooled seats. And the cooled seats was worth if for me. Plus that sweet electronic dashboard. ??

I think the Lariat is the best value in upscaled models and would want to have the 502a if not might as well buy the far less expensive model line. After driving my Lariat Ecoboost with the 502a for 5,500 mile or so I am looking forward to getting the replacement due to the rust issue. The one that I have ordered as the replacement is due in next week sometime. I added some items as the original "rusty" one was in stock and took what it had which was the 3.5 EcoBoost, standard B&O sound, power running boards and tailgate, moonroof. I have opted for the PowerBoost with the 7.2kw elect. output, no moonroof, the Unleashed B&O sound, and the Co-pilot Act2.0 Prep as the other one did not have that. Some small additions as well as the work surface and tow tech package.

After 5,500 miles other than the rust the truck is great and why I am returning this one for similar and not getting my cash back and buying another brand such as Chevy, GMC, Ram or even Toyota. Hoping the new one has no gremlins as my "rusty" one did not have any that I know of.

How's it going ladies and gentlemen! I've come across this forum a lot in recent searches of stuff after purchasing my '21 Lariat so I figured I'd join! I've had this one about a month now and have 400 miles on it, 91 when I bought it. I didn't order mine, just kinda walked in and made a deal.

Here are my specs:
EXTERIOR
  • Carbonized Gray Metallic
  • SuperCrew
  • Power Tailgate
  • 5.0L V8
  • 4x4
INTERIOR
  • Black leather interior
PACKAGES
  • 501A
  • FX4 package
Not sure what exactly package I have, but I think it's mostly 501A with some optional stuff in there.

Love the truck so far! It's my nicest one since I bought a 2013 Sierra All-Terrain Edition back in the summer of 2014. I upgraded to this '21 Lariat from a 2018 STX that I loved. Did some minor upgrades to that like a bed cover and leather seats, but loved that little 2.7L EcoBoost. Missed the sound of a V8 though! Oddly enough, the dealer closest to me just had 5.0's and the Powerboosts.

This is the replacement truck that will be replacing the "Rusted" one Metro Ford of Miami first sold me end of Jan. 21, and did not know about the rust till I learned about it on this Forum. Once I saw the rusted poor condition I made a case with Ford, got the standard run around but I persevered time and time again till they agreed to get a new one.

Original selling Ford Dealer Metro Ford in Miami was "0" help and offered horrible customer service at best. IMHO Ford was no better but guess they did not want to see me with top flight attorney in court either. So they will be refunding almost all the costs back on the rusted truck minus some cash for the 5,500 or so miles on it now, or about .09 cents per/mile +/-. Personally I think that is very petty but willing to pay it to get this behind me. The original "rusted" one was also a Lariat but with the 3.5 EcoBoost, moon roof, no work surface with the standard B&O. Black interior.

New one items below but the major difference is the PowerBoost with 7.2kw no moonroof, worksurface and the Unleased B&O. Of course I am paying the difference in price from old one to new one as the new one has more cost given the engine etc. The new dealer Ford of Kendall in Miami has generally been helpful but has been like "pulling teeth". This one is very local to my home and has as great Service Dept. which for me is more important than the sales dept. The dealer will remove the Retrax roll up tonneau cover and bed extender I added to my old one and install it on my new one.

The only item I am not sure about is what brand/model tires will it come with, I did order the 20" wheels and not wanting the Hankook tires at all they are horrible. I have the GoodYear Wrangler All Season now and they are fine. But given choice would be the Michlelin all season BSW best specs and long life the GoodYears are close but not the Hankook brand which are like ice stakes.

Dealer told me new truck was to be delivered last week, but of course it was not. Maybe this week.
Ford has already sent them a check for the refund due me on old one. But for the life of me they will not accept it simply endorsed by me, I have to deposit it and pay for the new one out of my bank account with a Bank Certified Check, they will not even take my check, now that is disturbing to me as in my years of purchasing cars i have always written them a check and maybe have some on credit card for points.

That's a shame you're having to go through all that. I guess that kind of "customer service," if you want to call it that, could be expected from any brand. Customer service isn't what it used to be. Especially for someone willing to cut a check. Sounds like you're getting a good one though. Those Powerboosts have really intrigued me.
