Welcome, and nicely spec’ed Lariat! We used to have weekly updates as to production holds, and option shortages, however, we no longer have that insider access. The roughest part will be waiting on a VIN which only your dealer can provide once your order is “picked up”. After that, there are a few ways to constantly track it like others have said.

Thought I would share my Lariat I picked up in May. This forum helped tremendously with my research.

Star White Lariat 502A Powerboost FX4.
Put on some Expedition wheels I got locally and had powder coated. Besides that just a Bakflip, wheel well liners, and bed liner. 3k miles and just some minor software glitches and a little rough of a 1-3 shift.

Going to dealer in a short time to take a look and do some paperwork. Should be able to pick it up on Monday or Tuesday. YIPPIE! That was a long 130 day wait.

What kind of tires do you have(size, brand)? Are they loud (i.e., you can hear them with the windows up)?

I want an aggressive look, but I don't want to hear them when I'm on the highway. Does anyone have any suggestions?

When should I start asking for the VIN? My dealer said about a month(up to 1.5 months) when I ordered it.

Check on Fridays in the afternoon as Ford tends to schedule things Thursday, Friday morning at the latest. I'd say wait 1-2 weeks before asking first, depending on what day you ordered.

I guess mine was unique. I ordered mine on a Wed and my VIN was assigned on Thursday.

I saw a post somewhere saying bedliner "CAN" cause delay because the work is done offsite outside of factory so I removed it from my order and decided to do it with Line-X.

Thanks! I don't want to pester my dealer too soon. I'll start nagging when the timeline says 'built' It's only been a week anyways and I keep telling myself to expect a prolonged wait(4+ months).

I leave my dealer alone but ask the guys on the chat line at Performance Ford at least twice a week.
