This is a pretty stupid way to limit VIN checks. Ford should just adopt GM’s model—sell to individual users a 1 yr license for $50 and limit the license to one VIN.The days of checking VINs in FDRS are over. Ford is now banning accounts for checking VINs without being plugged into the vehicle; even if they are in the US market. @jfalat Be careful. If they ban you, they will tell you it is because remote diagnosis is not allowed and they will ask you to verbally "promise" not to do it anymore to re-activate your account.
From now on, what I suggest is that VIN checks should only be done by people with a 2 day license after they have done all their updates with whatever time they have left on their license. Or, someone with full PTS access can check for pending updates as they do not seem to be monitoring PTS as closely.
