Damn it! I thought for sure hearing your video it was the same noise I was having!Well it’s definitely not my mirrors. Ugh. Taped them up and it’s still doing it.
Well. You won’t believe this. Popped the hood to look for other possible culprits. Noticed my air filter box cover wasn’t on properly. Tech that checked the filter an oil change or two ago didn’t get it put back on securely. Not 100% sure this is it/the only thing that was rattling, but it didn’t do it on my test drive after I locked it in correctly and it sounded like what I’m hearing. Makes sense too with the differing winds entering the air intake.Damn it! I thought for sure hearing your video it was the same noise I was having!
I hope that's the fix for you, but mine is attached securely with no rattles so it isn't my issue.Well. You won’t believe this. Popped the hood to look for other possible culprits. Man that sucks. I taped a couple wiring harness that rattled really bad when I jiggled them. They are up under the drivers side dash to the left the pedals, but I’m 95% sure the noise was originating from outside the cabin, so don’t think the harnesses were it.I hope that's the fix for you, but mine is attached securely with no rattles so it isn't my issue.
Damn man. I telling ya though. Your sounded just like mine. Recheck that mirror. Guy at ford said he's seen a few like mine from the mirror.Aaannddd it back/never really fixed. ?
I THINK IT MAY BE THE METAL CONTROL ARM VIBRATING THAT IS TO THE LEFT OF THE BRAKE PEDAL, look in your floorboard and see if it rattles by hand!!!This is 100% the sound my truck makes under acceleration, it is mechanical. Did you find a fix. My raker in Dothan al told me I’m out of options.
It is possibly the metal control arm to the left of the brake pedal look in your floorboard & shake it by handAnyone have any tips for figuring this out. Have had it to the dealership and they claimed it was a couple loose screws on the skid plate and that the rattle was gone. It sounds more like it’s in the corner of the dash, or wheel well, or upper engine compartment.
Thanks!

look in your driver floor and look to the left of the brake pedal you will see a metal bracket thing it’s loose/defective causing rattleBud I've got the same issue. I've done everything to figure it out on my 24 tremor with 8k. It's worse on windy days with a crosswind and acts up with turbulence from a semi truck. Do you have power folding mirrors? I think I've got it narrowed down to around the mirror. If you power fold the mirror while on the interstate it usually triggers a little rattle. And stops for a second when I open the mirror back out. There's a plastic piece the mirror rotates on that's pretty flimsy. Haven't got it to stop yet but I might be on to something. Im not gonna stop to I get it figured out?
Ok, have driven multiple times with all the tape added. Haven’t heard it. Thanks! Anything from ford on a more permanent fix?Damn man. I telling ya though. Your sounded just like mine. Recheck that mirror. Guy at ford said he's seen a few like mine from the mirror.

Definitely going to try this. This would make sense since it seems to be influenced by wind!If anyone is still following or comes across this thread searching:
I now have 4 successful drives with no rattle. Haha. The rattle had become more persistent and I noticed it more often when driving over bumps than I had before. I was under the hood taping and zip tying things I thought it could still be, loose wiring harnesses, plastic cable tube, etc and I accidentally put my hand on the drivers side hood bumper. Sounded exactly like the rattle. Plastic on metal. Drivers side bumper was lower than the passenger side, so I raised it to the same height as the drivers side so the hood puts more pressure on it. I also zipped tied both sides to make sure they don’t move at all even with the extra hood pressure. I suspect the drivers side bumper was a little low and rattling with differing airflow under the front of the hood and it may have loosened (its threaded to raise/lower it) over time which is why I was hearing it more often and over bumps recently.
Now just have to figure out a fix for my shuddering transmission in 8/9/10 gear and the stinky silicone type smell from the A/C vents sometimes at startup after my truck has been parked with A/C on at shutoff…then I’ll be happy with my truck.
