The only 100% for sure way to know is with the VIN. Assuming the updates needed for it to work are missing, even if the dealer installs them, you will need to turn the features on yourself with FORScan.

Can I message you the vin? Is the FORScan something the dealership can do?

Yes, message it to me and I will look into later when I get home and have my laptop.

No, the dealer will not use FORScan. It is not Ford-approved software.

I got notice today of a scheduled update. It says it will take 83 minutes. Dare I hope after 2 years to finally get the update? It will it just be another update to the update process to ensure updates go smoother.

Is an 83 minute update 1.4? Why doesn't Ford just tell you.

That's the one. Your battery is below specs. The OTA will fail if it tries to install now. If you have a 12v charger, now is a good time to plug it in.

Thanks Rugedraw. I did it the minute I got home?. Charger showed 25-50% charge. I learned my lesson. Why can't Ford Pass tell me that or Sync? That would make this whole process a lot easier on people.

They want you to buy a Bluetooth battery monitor so you can constantly keep eyes on it and slowly become battery paranoid like the rest of us.

Fordpass could tell you this if Ford wanted it to.

If the charger showed 25%-50% and the BMS system was showing 62% when you parked it, the BMS data quality may be off. Once the battery reaches 100%, I would try to install manually right away to see what happens and not wait for the auto-update schedule to do it.

Zero 24’s have gotten it as far as I can tell.

Dumb question: can this update be done over the wireless connection i have my truck connect to At night in the garage? I think an ota would be hampered in my garage becase of tech shield.

OTAs get downloaded using the truck's modem and not wifi. Notification would pop up in the truck and Fordpass, but Fordpass does not always notify you.
