I have been following my dates like everyone. My dates have been changing the same as everyone else. My production started 4/30/21. My end date finally ended up at 10/31/21.

But now I see a eta Start date of 10/25/21 and eta End Date of 10/31/21. These dates have been changing since March. My status still says In Production.

I have looked at my PTI Information on Ford Etis, and it looks' like I am missing 12 chips.

Any input on what this all means. I think it means my truck is sitting in the purgatory lot waiting for the 12 chips that they think will be in 10/25/21 . Help!

Is this telling me 10/31 delivery date? Hope not.

I have the same dates on my Lariat. I checked the PTI info and I am missing 12 chips. My truck is sitting in the purgatory sea of trucks being eating up by the Michigan elements! Rusty & Musty! And they want to try to charge us MSRP. Ya right. Let me stop. I will go off on a rant!

From another website, a media link looks like there's some 'publicity' now for the shell-game going on at Ford where purgatory trucks (April 'build' dates, etc) parked in a lot waiting for chips are being stepped over as new trucks are assembled on the production line and shipped to customers.

Until the Wall Street Journal runs this story, I don't think Ford Management will care as business-is-business.

I think that ‘Ford Management’ might care about the -30% year on year decrease in sales though! Especially when you consider March 2020 was height of COVID shutdown and March 2021 is allegedly ‘reopened economy’. If I was the VP of sales, I would be shitting my pants at that news!

I have decided Ford customers are stupid, yes that includes me. I have been saying for months that this is what Ford was going to do. A bad situation with chips has now created a frenzy. Ford is going to screw those of us that ordered trucks in late December , January and February. Dealers are now receiving inventory which they are selling for 5K to 10K OVER MSRP. Ford wants to keep up this frenzy for as long as possible. By pushing the staged trucks with no chip off as long as possible there are many customers who will cancel their order and pay significantly more for a truck now. Customer ordered Trucks ordered late march are arriving at dealers now. My truck was ordered 1/15/2021. It has been due 4/17/21 since ordered. Today the delivery date revised to 10/31/2021.
I called my dealer and asked them to order another truck today matching my specs. They agreed it was probably the best. I am not sure I want a truck that sat in a Detroit parking lot for 6 months.

I don't blame you. I'm pissed too. We all have the same date of 10-31-21. funny most of the country is suppose to receive their trucks on Halloween. I really don't see this happening. Is it going to be better or worse? I don't know!!!

So, when I first signed up here, there were only about 50 trucks that had been ordered (Last August). When I finally got around to putting my order on the list, about 100 in October.
Now there are about 850 on that order form. Since the first 100 ordered before manufacturing even began, we had what seemed like a long wait. Seems kind of trivial now seeing those that have ordered just to see ( or believe) theirs hanging out in parking lots waiting for stuff. Hope you can remain patient till Ford gets this ironed out.

Well, after hearing these stories about new ETAs of October and still an ETA of 1990 showing for our order from March 3, we caved and bought off the lot.

Actually we’re quite pleased....they did honour the main rebates we were promised for our order. We only paid about $1200 more Cdn plus the extra options and more tax (of course, we’re in Canada!). We had ordered a 3.5 ltr 301A Sport in Leadfoot and ended up buying a 5.0 ltr 302A Sport FX in Carbonized Grey. Has more options than we wanted but gotta admit those extras are pretty sweet. Maybe just needed this whole hassle in order to feel okay about treating ourselves to a nicer truck. Now we’ll be able to camp this summer...Northern BC here we come!

Anyway, if anyone is thinking of doing the same and getting BS from the dealer about losing your original $4000 rebate, press them on it. Our dealer was able to call corporate and get an exception. They just have to backdate the bill of sale to the day you originally put in your order, and swap the VIN so the rebate is attached to the VIN of what you’re buying instead of your order.

Very creative... well done. BTW, i have the same plans (N BC trip) this summer but X Canada from Ontario! Gonna put some serious Km’s on our 302A Antimatter Scab when we finally get it... I HOPE!!?

Great! Ours is a Scab too! I think that helped with our bargaining power…much smaller market for Scabs. Good luck on getting yours.

Did you ever get a VIN? I am having a similar issue - ordered 2/27

Yes, I received my VIN when I visited the dealer and spoke to the salesman I worked with to place the order. They provided me with a document that had my order number and the VIN.

Did you get your VIN?

I emailed my saleslady today and asked if I had a VIN yet for my 5/14 order and got this reply. On the follow up message, she said they haven’t gotten a VIN. If it were “almost ready for build”, wouldn’t there be a VIN?
