Quick question

Hello I have a 24 f150 with the 5.0 , and this morning while leaving for work I opened the door while reversing as I was in a tight spot and I wanted to make sure I cleared,I was in drive and the truck has the feature where it parks automatically if the door opens so as the shifter is going back up to park I kinda started to pull back down to drive , as I tought it had finished its process on going back to park , could I have messed anything up by forcing it back down while it’s trying to automatically go up?

If you didn't hear anything break and the shifter and transmission still work as expected then you should be fine. I wouldn't make a habit of it though. According to the manual the automatic return to park function only happens if you open the door with your seatbelt off. If you open the door with you belt on it sounds like it should stay in gear but I haven't tested it myself.

Do you not have the 360 camera option? I find it works great for checking my parking job without having to get out of the truck.

No 360 here as I only have the stx model .

Lots of snow here. Camaras are basically usless!

I believe the shifter will not go into park if your is seatbelt on.
