Alright guys I'm tapping out. Like most, my ETA just got pushed to 8-23. While I realize that the ETA really does not mean anything anymore, I'm just over this whole thing now. The idea of plunking down 55 + thousand dollars on a truck that rolled off the line partially built, sitting in a parking lot for months on end, then final assembly by a third party contractor has turned me off to the point I don't want it anymore.

Good luck to those of you sticking it out. I really hope you all get your trucks as soon as possible and in the end, are very satisfied with your purchase.
I don't blame you one bit!

It REALLY sucks that you're likely doing your dealer a favor since he's probably maxed out his allocation for 2021 and would be more than happy to be able to sell your truck to someone else for far more than you were going to pay.

Me... I'm stuck!

Where the hell are you going to find a fully loaded Regular Cab short bed 4x4 ANYTHING?

My only "hope" is that since it's a little tiny truck and a LOT of the options I wanted aren't available in that config, MAYBE I'll squeak through and actually get built & shipped all on one shot.

MAYBE....

Good luck on whatever you end up moving on to and let us know how it goes.

Man I feel your pain.. I have been checking almost every day with my ETA still showing May 10th and today being May 21st. I am almost hoping that it would just shift to August just so i can put an end to the misery and move on.

Same......... I don't know whether I'd be disappointed or just relieved if it would just go ahead and change or do something... Anything at this point. Then if it does the question is whether to buy the most similar truck I can find on the search inventory or what...

As i mentioned before the biggest let down is two fold.

1. I have a new RV that i ordered in Jan, that is now sitting at the dealer lot waiting for pick up. Without the F150, i have the cancel and lose deposit.
2. Got a deal 2 days ago to get out early on my honda odyessy lease which woudl save me $5K if i had my F150.

If it comes, i would be so happy! If it doesn't, the plan is cancel the RV, keep the odyessy, and just wait indefinitely for the cybertruck (although i did put a down on the Lightning - if they were both to come available, i choose the cybertruck hands down for mutiple reasons).

Dang, man, sorry to hear it. Are you gonna find one on the lot or you’re done altogether?
There is nothing on the lots here. They are picked bare. I'm currently driving a 2013 loaded 3.5 FX4 that has no issues. I actually still love the truck. I'll just keep driving it.

I realize this decision is going to cost me while I wait for the market to stabilize. Between the lesser trade in value and the inevitable price increases for 2022 and beyond, things are just going to be more expensive. But this whole ordeal of ordering a truck has turned into a $hitshow. My gut is telling me to walk away and I usually regret it when I ignore that feeling.

Just throwing it out there, I'm sure you considered that already... and there may be an easier way but using the Ford website search inventory tool and typing in 500 miles (in the URL) instead of the standard 20-100 it allows, you can go through a dozen different zip codes and search the country pretty quickly. May be able to find just the truck you need. Albeit not at the previously negotiated price... Like I said I found a real close match... In Michigan 14 hrs away... That I may settle on particularly if mine goes ahead and pushes out several months

I've been thinking the same way as most of us since our eta dates got pushed out to August, and started looking around my area as well and thinking about cancelling my order. As expected, there isn't much and dealers want MSRP or better.

Then I started to look at it another way... I got (like a lot of us) a pretty good discount when I ordered on Jan. 28th and a guaranteed value on my trade-in. So while it seems like getting a 2021 in July-August feels like getting a 1 yr old truck, with the discounts I have secured that are guaranteed, I am still no worse than even, if I tried to negotiate a "1 yr old truck" off a lot in July/August anyway. Especially if 2022's are increased in price as many suspect and/or there are no factory or dealer incentives available. In my case I am paying cash so the financing is not really a factor and I tend to keep my vehicles for 5+ years so a 21 versus 22 isn't as big a deal.

At this time of year I don't think there is too much to worry about re damage or deterioration with them sitting on lots in Michigan anyway.

In summary, at this point I have waited this long and am willing to wait a few more weeks. I don't believe I will have to wait until August and hope to still get some use out of the new rig this summer.

I'm there with you Roady. My delivery ETA is the 27th, but my dealer says it's still "awaiting shipment" and that's all he knows and he gets a little snippy when I press him on it. I'm getting frustrated like you, seeing my truck rotting in the sun somewhere. But I won't cancel the order yet because I've read on here that sometimes the truck just pops up at the dealers--Surprise!--so maybe it'll get here soon. Good if it does, but if It's close to the end of the model year I don't want it. But for now I'll let the process play out and see. I've almost lost interest though, maybe there's something else coming out in the fall that I'd like more.

Okay every day is a new day!!.. i just took my 2018 Honda Odyessy (lease is finished January 2022) for an oil change, and whil it was there, the sales manager comes out BEGGING me to buy my van back! he said just give me the keys, take your plates, we will discharge the lease 7 months ahead. I told him, i need my F150 to arrive (as the F150 was intended to replace the van).

Called up my dealer and here is the screen shot!.. Still shows May10th, Ramp 59, Pending up date.. Window sticker is alive. they confirmed tons of F150's had their dates pushed to Aug/Sept, but for some reason mine is still show the old dates so there is hope.

NOw i need the F150 more than ever since i have an RV just waiting to be picked up and now i can get out of my lease on my Odyessy and save over $5K in payments!

I want to get my dealer to give me this. What is it called? Is it just called a status report? Either he doesn't know about it or he's playing dumb.?

It's the Vehicle visibility in Ford's internal Oasis system. All technicians have access to it as well, as they all use Oasis. Sales managers use it as well, and some times sales personnel out on the floor. Depending on the dealer. If your sales guy said he'll see what he can do, he apparently cant look it up and that's when i knock on the managers door.

I am right there with guys. I think for me I am just tired of the anticipation and no communication. Mine still hasn’t pushed out still showing 5/30 but I doubt anything will become of it. Since I already sold my truck, I am thinking of just getting a used cheaper truck for now and drive it for a year or two until Ford gets their act together. I would bet in 2 years they will be operating as normal and the deals will come back. Personally I am just done with the whole mess and even if it showed up in June I am not sure I will be happy with it knowing what all has been going on. Especially with the 3rd party contractors finishing up the build in a parking lot somewhere.

I feel similarly about the whole mess. There aren't a whole lot of other options anyway... I've been watching dealer lots and the used markets for the past couple months (since it became clear shortly after my build date of 3/17 that I still wasn't going to get my 12/10 order any time soon). There's nothing on dealer lots that matches what I want exactly and I'm not willing to pay more for something similar, hence the custom order. As for the used market, I haven't seen anything close to a good deal on anything that I want. And, unfortunately, both of those things make sense given the current state of the auto industry.

I had fleeting thoughts of just waiting for a 22, but I imagine that will probably double the wait time, and I've had about as much waiting as I can take.

Hopefully, my 7/30 ETA will hold. Hopefully, the truck won't have rust all over it. Hopefully the contractors install the missing modules correctly. Hopefully this truck will be worth the 8 month wait and $60k+.

No matter what happens, at the end of the day, the new vehicle buying experience with Ford has been abysmal... and I will be very hesitant to ever go through it again. Shortage or no, their communication and handling of the situation throughout the entire process has been terrible.

Is there anything Ford policywise etc keeping my dealer / sales/ ordering mgr from emailing a screenshot of the "Oasis Vehicle Visibility report" (is that what I should ask for)? They seem to want to tell me the most current status from it but the next time I ask, I now want the full picture... to see... Myself....
Have Seen sooo many folks asking and getting help tracking on various forums but I don't want to add to load if I can avoid it.
