bottom left corner of IPC, what does that indicator light mean? never seen that before

btw, awesome install
Thanks. That's the icon for slippery mode - been getting hammered here with snow the last few days so it's been in that more than normal.

Yeah, apart from normal, every drive mode has an icon. I guess the changes to the IPC on the 12" are a lot more subtle than on the 8".

I'm jealous though. My wife has 4A on her Bronco and it's one of the things I miss the most on my XLT.

yeah i think i would have been happy with another XLT truth be told but i really wanted 4A and cooled seats. you can get Lariat trimmed seats from ebay for cheap and now that i've been around for awhile, its neat to see all that could be added to an XLT...not that i would have haha

Finally finished the UHF 80ch CB install. Ran the aerial cable through the nicely placed grommet above the rear right hand side cab vent, then along the cable channel under the floor trims, then under carpet in front of seat, poked a little hole in the carpet for it to come through.

Mounted radio and mic/head to the right side of console to take advantage of the speaker in the box (as well as the mic speaker). They are out of the way when seat is more forward in driving position and it's easy to grab the Mic. Ran power the same way but along cable channel into the BCM fuse box and a fuse tap into a spare 20A always-on fuse as the dashcam fuse taps prevented me from other, options. Mic has a power button anyway so no biggie.

Originally mounted the Aerial on the Retrax t-slots but got 2 bars and terrible SWR. Moved it up to the crossbars with a folding bracket which puts it out of the way when I use the rooftop tent. Now 10 bars (full 5W) and perfect SWR ?

So the Dealership was selling a new 2022 XL 5.0 for reasonably cheap and as I was in the market it seemed rude not to buy it. Recent additions to the truck in the last week include new side steps, husky floor liners front and back, collapsible under seat storage and tonneau cover . Future upgrades include scuba cylinder racks, bonnet cube lights, smaller antenna and on board air compressor, roof racks and awning.

J&L OSC installed this morning……seems to be the best value when considering a can.

Yes, the F-150 running boards just come with two brackets. I've not bolted the middle bracket to the truck yet and I've not noticed any issues with flex or anything. Just was surprised that the lugs were there for the middle brackets, and since they are, I do plan to attach them.

They still had a new 2022 in stock? Or am I misunderstanding something?

That’s why I wanted a Lariat, I found a great deal on Tremor with the 402 package which is pretty much the same. 4A was a requirement for me in my area. Enjoying my Tremor VERY much .

Figured my first post would be here. I'm old and my wife has mobility issues so I installed F250 OEM running boards. Don't hate the look and function is much better. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the F150 had the studs for the middle set of hangers.
