Good morning everyone! I wanted to know if going to all Amsoil Oil in the engine, front and rear diff, and transmission in my 2024 F-150 Ecoboost would void my warranty and also would the Ford dealership put the Amsoil in for me. I don’t have an issue doing it myself, but again I know if I do the maintenance myself that will void my warranty.

Amsoil will not void the warranty. Look up the specs, it like most oils on the market meet Ford's specs. I've done that replacement with the exception of the ULV Transmission oil. At the time I took delivery Amsoil did not have a ULV Transmission fluid, so I stuck with the Ford ULV.

If I have it correctly, AMsoil now offers a ULV fluid, but check the viscosity to be sure. (One confusing issue is that the GM version of this transmission uses LV not ULV fluid.) At 5 or 6 qts per change, it will take you 5 or 6 changes to get the fluid up to near 100%. I did mine every ~15k miles. I've had no transmission problems. Also note the that the transmission filter is different than the non-hybrid transmissions. Also note that the transfer case uses LV not ULV fluid.

Note that if You change the transmission filter, the process to do that is difficult. You may want to leave that to a dealer or a knowledgeable mechanic.

It’s really not that difficult. It’s harder than changing an oil filter, but it’s not rocket science

Call it as you will, you have to lift things to get clearance. If you're going to try it on the driveway... good luck

I guess everybody posess a different experience/skill level. But, loosening the transfer case mount and jacking the transfer case tail shaft and transmission up an inch to remove the pan really too difficult.

I guess I should say that I’ve been working on cars since I was 14, I have a little bit of experience with stuff. I’ve worked on aircraft for over 35 years removing landing gear, wings, engines, fuel tanks…….

Everyone has different experience levels. It’s actually good that you’re bringing this up. Other members may not be aware of the tasks involved in removing the pan. But for me, removing a transmission pan from one of these trucks is not cosmic. I’ve already looked at the entire task in the Ford factory service manual, it’s not that hard.

It won’t void your warranty. Very high quality oil. I still won’t run even Amsoi past 5k

Well, I've been maintaining my cars & trucks since the 70s. Made a 92 Suburban go 30 years... In this case a person that is going to do the filter swapout in their driveway... It'll be a surprise from previous truck filter changes and downright awkward sitting in the driveway... If you have a lift then this is not that difficult. Got it. Just want people to be forewarned, as many won't expect the transfer case drill.

My previous truck had the Duramax engine and diesel engines stress the motor oil to a far greater extent than any gas engine. A great deal of the motor oil consists of additives to protect the moving parts and neutralize the more caustic elements in the oil. Of all the diesel motor oils Amsoil had the worst additive mix other than the Wal-Mart private label stuff.

Any of the diesel motor oils selling for half the price had far better additive mixes and were far better to use. Amsoil spends millions on advertising to convince people to pay more for their products and clearly it works very well.

No reason not to use Ford's recommended Motorcraft 5W-30 Synthetic Blend motor oil or any other blend that is 5W-30.

Motor oil formulations needed to be changed for 2017 and later gas engines and many millions of hours were put on engines which were taken apart and examined for wear. It makes no sense that a company like Amsoil has been able to produce a superior product to all the other motor oils being sold today.
