My dealer said I’d have a payload of 1740lbs on a 25 Lariat PB with max tow, lariat high, bed utility, 7.2 PPO, BAP, no moon roof. Sounds like you’re all saying that’s not possible.

I think #400 is a closer average difference on the sticker. The PB GVWR is famously gimped.
Assuming what you’re saying is true I wouldn’t consider 400 pounds to be a serious gimp. If I wanted to tow more than 11,200 pounds I would probably wanna be in a three-quarter ton diesel.

They increased the GVWR by #50 for 24. Perhaps they squeezed a little more weight out or bumped the gross up a little more ??‍♂. Moon roof and auto steps are heavy items

That sounds more like what I recall, but I think that's a pretty loaded Platinum vs a stripped down XLT. If you compare the same trim levels and options, it's not that much. But to me, anywhere from 18% to 23% or so less is significant.

I completely agree on the 3/4 ton. The PB is built like a tank. It has a heavy duty frame similar to the Raptor. Bumping up against the payload limit is not a scary scenario imo.

Nice passive aggressive pejorative!
Which was exactly why I edited (removed) it immediately ... and did so BEFORE you responded and ADDED into YOUR reply. Check the timestamp.

And if you actually consider 'sport' a pejorative, that's pretty weak.

I don't think you're getting to 1,750# with a Lariat PB with those (and other standard Lariat) options. Check any similar vehicles on the lot?

1,300 vs 1,700 is nearly 25%.

That's not a serious gimp? Totally disagree.

Yes, opinions are like elbows in that everyone has a couple. On this we disagree. Hell, if I was so concerned on max payload and tow rating, I would probably be gaming on the coming 3/4 ton, Godzilla motor with PB that is in the works. I can load everything and tow everything I need and not approach max rating, otherwise I sure as heck wouldn't be in a 1/2 trying to pose as a 3/4 ton capable truck.

Yes, and I guarantee you that almost everyone will agree that losing 25% of anything is significant.

And bringing up the F150 to SD is absolutely irrelevant to the question of what a significant loss is when comparing two F150s.

It seems to be a problem for you, owning a 5 liter F-150 version. One would have to see what others who have chosen differently who don’t troll, like you, on 5 liter pages a Debbie Downer, wah wah why I don’t like what I don’t have.

I've owned 14 new Ford/Lincoln vehicles in the last ~18 years alone, many being F150s and SD. I'm pretty sure I've been doing this far longer than most. You joined a whopping 4-5 months ago, eh? Lol.

Sorry I made you cry.
