Garbage OEM hankook dynapro’s that everyone complains about with outer tread wear. Been fighting it since new. My Blizzaks don’t wear like this in the winter. I’ve run it 38-40 PSI fairly consistently and not much left. I’ve had alignments. I’d say the main tread is at least double the wear bar height, maybe even 3mm above. Are the outer treads too worn? I have a 200mi highway trip tomorrow with a jet ski to tow. Might just take my Yukon ffs.

First 2 pics are driver front. 3rd pic is passenger front.

I am probably not the best to answer this because I have taken the crap OEM tires off within days of ownership. Truck tires are heavy. They just are. They are supposed haul crap around that weighs a lot, tow stuff around that weighs a lot, and they sit under a truck that weighs a lot.

Ford in their pursuit of CAFE standards have selected cheap, thin tires to put on their F-150s. I am not even talking about SL/XL loads. There are some decent ones out there (I slapped a set on mine - Nittos), but the Hankooks and Pirellis are not those. They are paper thin and in many cases of folks using their truck like a truck the damn things are shot by 15k miles.

My suggestion - ditch them before they leave you high and dry somewhere.

If its just the outer edge, then the alignment is bad. Which ever shop was used to do an alignment was junk. Find a better shop and replace.
I ditched the Hancooks at 28k. Pre winter

Thanks guys. Lease is up in a month and I have a truck on order. I might just leave this in the driveway tomorrow and try and keep these tires for local driving until the new truck comes in. I don’t want to waste time or money replacing tires in a vehicle I’m not going to own in a few months (assuming my build gets picked up LOL). I can probably milk these tires on some local trips for now.

Yeah, that's an alignment issue, the tires might be cheap, but this not the fault of the tire. You can use them, they are just worn on the outside , no belts or cord is showing.

Yeah I don’t get it. I’ve run Bridgestone Blizzak DMV-2’s for the last 3 winters and no outer tread wear.

It is strange, but I have the same Hankook tires on my 21 for 31,000 miles and they are wearing evenly.

My OEM Goodyear tires look like that as well, all 4 corners. I do however corner faster than most people, and all tires I had on my car prior to the F150 looked like that everytime they were replaced.

If you're doing mostly highway though, I'd agree with alignment.

I replaced mine when a hole appeared in the side that looked like they had been knifed. I am still not positive that someone at a random gas station in Central Texas didn't knife my tires, but it was a good reason to ditch them sooner rather than later, so I wasn't too sad. Bottom line, you don't need a good reason to get better tires.

If you are doing a lease return you going to get charged for those tires , might as well bite the built and put new ones on

My front outside shoulder is showing more wear too. I think it’s due to me cornering pretty fast.

to be honest all of the cars I had before also had the front outside shoulder showing more wear so I think it’s my driving style.
