2024 Ford F150
Finally getting around to posting details about my truck.
I have owned 3 Lightnings, an ‘03 F150 Harley truck and a 2014 F150 Roush charged Screw among 20 other vehicles….but this is the first time I have ever ordered a new vehicle. Since ford doesn’t build a street truck anymore (when i ordered mine), I figured i would build my own.

Ordered 2/24/2022
Build weak 7/18
built 7/22
Vin: 1FTMF1E5XNKE46131
Delivered 10/19
paint code HX Antimatter Blue
Roush Blower kit. $13k installed by the dealer i ordered the truck from. i could have done it myself but wanted to get the warranty.

Belltech 25027. these are adjustable. i ended going with the 3” drop.

Maxtrac flip kit 303240. this was for the previous gen trucks. no issues with install except for cutting a front leaf spring bolt. i didn’t want to drop the tank. get a 5” cut off wheel. a worn 4” isn’t big enough and the bolt will eat sawzall blades.

Billstein rear shocks. not happy with the stiffness…and they were too short. i cant stress enough how important it is to measure for shocks vice picking a set recommended by a vendor when you have done something other than what they sell to your truck.

Viking D216 shocks. worlds better ride in the rear.

Bwoody rear brace. not installed. requires removal of spare tire. didn’t know that when i bought it.

1” lift shackles
removed Ihc lift shackles. After about 1500 miles these started squeaking. I took them out, greased the crap out of them but it didn’t help. When torqued to spec, the bushing was moving inside the rubber. I loosed them until it stopped squeaking and double nuted the bolt. that allowed the leaf spring to rattle when i hit sharp bumps. so i found some other lift shackles made my Maxtracs. these have a poly bushing and grease fitting. all issues with shackles are gone now.

Leaf spring bolts W709627S439 received (didn’t need because the flip kit came with quality hardware.)

Spring tool $35. Harbor freight.

Suspension total.
Actual ~$1800

alignment @Dealer $465 (had to notch control arms)

Tirebuyer.com. $689 + $200 mount balance 305/40-22 General grabber uhp. great tire

Stage 3 motorsports
Wheels with tpms
Ford 22x9.5 $1085.

American truck
Wheel well liners $99. Rough country T559568

1/4 wheel spacers for the front. if you didn’t know, the rear is about an inch wider than the front

Catch can not installed

Gator Tonneau cover. made in usa. this is my second one of these (my son has one on his truck.)

black lug nuts

lasfit hi/low/fog bulbs $28 each. i had to adjust the fogs and after installed, i adjusted the headlights as to not blind oncoming drivers.

Mud flap thing. ML3Z99292A23(2)CA

cut out stock muffler welded in (diy) Dynomax Ultra Flo 17223

tunersports.com
Full Bedrug Brq15sbk

extra XL fender emblems $90 eBay
PTM bumpers $992 (local body shop)
PTM handles and emblems $60 in supplies (diy job)
Ceramic tint

husky floor liners.

Raptor wheel. ML3Z-3600-AB $500 on ebay. it had some knicks on the plastic. didn’t matter to me because i was swapping the plastic out for my stock stuff.
DU2Z-14474-BA electrical plugs
posi-taps. wired up paddles. lots of fun.

skid plate stuff. Previous gen bolts right up
engine
FL3Z-5D032-A
FL3Z-5D032-C (small door thing)
W715288-S439 clips for door
W717461-S439 j nuts
no bolts needed

transfer case
FL3Z-7E063-A
W520813-S439 nut
W709390-S439 bolts

CQuartz UK 3.0 ceramic coating after paint correction/polishing. Really easy once you have the prep done. Kinda wish i had coated every other car i have owned before. super easy to wash and dry now.

As you know the XL trucks have manual seats. I did some research and ended up getting a power driver seat out of a 2017 F150 Supercrew truck. I took my seat and the junkyard seat apart and put my 2022 stuff on the 2017 frame. Bolted it in my truck, plugged it in, and everything works like it should. This was a two birds one stone thing because my sons 2017 F150 needed a new drivers butt cushion. so i will be able to put the junkyard foam in his truck now.
I got the seat from Okautoparts in Ridgeland MS. they are 25 minutes from me so no shipping needed. Best $210 i have spent. Truck is way more comfortable to drive. I am 6’2” and 245lbs. the manual seat sat too high and being able to tilt the butt made a huge difference.

still need/want
rear sway bar. BELLTECH - 5561 $421
RCI transmission skid plate?
Leather kit w/heated and AC. ~$2500
VAS front brace.
custom true dual Exhaust with H pipe two resonators 2 mufflers. i might start working on this in my spare time. not many reputable exhaust shops around here…yes, i have talked to a couple and walked away thinking i would not let them touch my truck.

I’m sure i am forgetting something.
4 wheel drive launches are a blast. With traction control off, rear locked, and some pedal work, it hooks and moves out. no track times yet but i plan on getting some times when the weather cools off.

I can get pics of suspension, interior and under hood if anyone wants.

Very nice!
Is yours 4x4?
So, the wiring is already there for power seat? Plug and play after swapping seat foam?

Do you know if 305/45/22 would be a problem on a 4x2?

yes, 4x4
Power for driver seat was there. Just swapped my stuff over to the power seat frame.
I can’t think of a reason why the tires would be a problem on a 4x2

How are you liking that lowering kit you put together.
I'm looking up the parts now and possibly duplicating your suspension on my 24.

Not yet.
I just got the truck a week ago and haven't really had time to get a few good pictures. But I bought a used 2024 4x2 with 360 miles on it.

You happen to have a link to that ebay purchase? Have you had any issues with leaks?
