I've done the math (see pic as I worked it out during my night shift as a Harvard janitor). It's approx. 45 HP at the crank. Tops. The added aerodynamics of the font are worth about 50-60 RWHP

If you have an Agate Black truck, they match perfectly. I assume you could sand off the gloos and spray parts with matte black.wow, they are very glossy...wished matte was an option.
I just used a trim removal tool and gently pried them off. The clips might remain in the slots, but you can then reach in the holes and remove them.Picked mine up from the dealership yesterday. Now I just need to find someone with tiny arms to fit in there & pop out the stock ones. I cannot for the life of me fit my arm in there. I have lots of bruises & marks on my forearm from trying. Haha.
I might just rip them off from the outside. I'm sure it will break the tabs but whatever. Excited to get them on!
That's good to hear because that is exactly my plan at this point. I have a trim removal tool set to use. Thanks!I just used a trim removal tool and gently pried them off. The clips might remain in the slots, but you can then reach in the holes and remove them.
i mention this on another page...you dont need a trim removal tool, you dont need to get behind the fender or up through the wheel well...i was able to just wedge my fingers are the very top of the badge and just pull it right off. took 10 sec. so if you look at the new badge, it has metal clips. those clips slide onto the plastic tabs of the badge. so once you pull the old badge off, the metal clips are left behind. now you can reach in the hole squeeze the metal clips and they come right out. clean the area and slap the new ones in. took longer to clean FOR the install than it did for the removal and install of the new ones. Now I just need to find someone with tiny arms to fit in there & pop out the stock ones. Haha.

I agreeGloss black badges match the Agate Black paint well.
Hah! Just got back inside from starting this process. At one point, I wasn't sure if my hand was going to come back out. Holy f*** this is gonna be fun. Like you, I'm contemplating sacrificing the originals for scientific purposes.Picked mine up from the dealership yesterday. Kinda where I'm at too. The idea of putting on the Ford Performance vents reminds me a little of the guys back in the day who would put the Cobra emblems on their V6 Mustangs. Not the same, I know, but just reminds me of it.I'm waiting until Ford releases a performance tune for vents and the Ford Performance grille.
Be glad to keep checking out the pictures though. Not sure if I want the gloss black. If I go satin, I might as well just paint my stockers.
