You mean the applique that's held on by double sided tape and slowly coming loose from the tailgate?

I thought it was also bolted.

Looks nice. However, as the owner of a ‘23 Limited, I like having the appliqué on the tailgate that gives the trim level. There is nothing on the tailgate now that differentiates this from an XL. My .02.

Yes, as i know for some reason Ford decided that customers did'nt like chrome package, which for one i DO and makes King Ranch and Platinum stand out. Am adding it to my 24 just like i have already change the mirror covers and added snap on chrome door handles just make my truck stand out.

This is the same color for a 2022 KR that I ordered back in OCT 2021. It never got scheduled so after waiting 9 months I flipped to a dealer order Platinum.

Just took delivery yesterday.

Everything as expected. The factory installed tonneau cover was actually the Ford branded Retrax XR with the T rails. Back in the day they used to ship the ones without the T rails.

WOW! I am jealous of you. I ordered my 2024 F 150 Lariat, in rapid red back in November of 23 and still have not received it. I'm told my the dealer that it was built back in February 24 and was supposed to be shipped, but now it is currently sitting in a parking lot at the Ford plant in Kansas on an "Quality Hold" whatever that is. Latest delivery estimate is late June early July. A $70,000.00 + truck and they can't deliver it on time. My brand new truck sitting outside gathering dust and and dirt for months. What a disaster and disappointment this is. Really pissed off. ?

I am curious if Ford fixed the beam alignment with this mid cycle refresh. Few things I dislike when driving at night more than a shadow between the high and low beams like my 2021 has.

Coincidentally I was looking at them earlier today. I was thinking on waiting a bit so I could get it as an “upgrade” after getting used to the new truck, but I am now thinking on getting them right now because of how nice they are.

does anyone know for sure why they did away with the applique? Kind of weak not being able to tell an XL from a platinum from the rear.

Gorgeous! My Lariat is in production as of today. I also ordered the retractable bed cover. Like your picture of it. Are you happy with it? Is it out of the way completely when open for hauling big bulky items without chance of hurting the rails, etc?

The box that it retracts into takes a fair amount of space inside the bed of the truck. In my case I am planning on leveraging the T rails to add a bike rack above the cover, so the retractable cover works well. That said, many people prefer the tri fold ones because they occupy less space inside bed (which is already tiny on this wheelbase).

EDIT: The cover is pretty strong, with a Distributed Weight Rating of 500lbs. The box they retract into is strong as well, it might get dents on the paint over time, but it needs a lot to get damaged. The rails themselves I haven't found a weight rating, I am trying to find it now.

That’s a good looking rig. I do hate the way ford plasters “platinum” across the hood. I would definitely remove that if it was my truck.

No, I don’t know why, but it would really make me think twice about going with lariat over platinum if I get one of these
